Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

Insert

 

  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Remove the back cover, as shown above, using the notch (1) located on the side of the phone (2) and gently remove (3).

  3. Lift the battery out.
  4. Carefully slide the micro SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.

Remove

  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Remove the back cover using the notch located on the side of the phone and gently remove.

  3. Lift the battery out.
  4. Gently push the micro SIM card slightly into the compartment until it clicks out of place.
  5. Slide the micro SIM card out of the slot.

Delete SIM messages

To delete SIM messages, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Tap the Menu key and then tap Settings.
  3. Tap Manage SIM card messages.
  4. Tap the Menu key and then tap Delete.
  5. Tap each message to be deleted or tap Select all to delete all messages.
  6. Tap Delete and then tap OK.

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
  5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an  empty field.
  6. Tap in the empty field above Unlock &  Dismiss.
  7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
  8. Tap the Back button to remove the keyboard from screen.
  9. Tap Unlock.
  10. The phone will display  Network Unlock Successful.
