    Notifications

    To change the notification sounds, follow these steps:

     

    1. Transfer the music, song, or sound file to the Notifications folder on your device.
    2. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
    3. Scroll to and tap Settings.
    4. Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Sound.
    5. Under 'SYSTEM,' tap Default notification sound.
    6. Your newly added file will appear at the bottom of the list. Select the file you want to use.
    7. Tap Done.

     

     

    Ringtones

    To change the ringtone, follow these steps:

     

    Ringtone for all calls

    1. Transfer the music, song, or sound file to the Music folder on your device.
    2. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
    3. Scroll to and tap Settings.
    4. Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Sound.
    5. Under 'RINGTONE & VIBRATION,' tap Phone ringtone.
    6. Tap the Music icon in the upper-right corner.
    7. Navigate to and select the file you want to use.
    8. Tap Done.

     

    Ringtone for calls from one contact

    1. Transfer the music, song, or sound file to the Music folder on your device.
    2. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
    3. Tap the Contacts tab in the upper-left corner.
    4. Select the contact you want to edit.
    5. Tap the Edit contact icon in the upper-right area of the screen.
    6. Scroll down to and tap the Ringtone drop-down menu.
    7. Tap the Music icon in the upper-right corner.
    8. Navigate to and select the file you want to use.
    9. Tap Done.
    10. Tap Done again.

    Transfer

    Transfer music or sounds to use

    Some devices require you to transfer music, sounds, or other audio files to the device in a certain way to be used for ringtones and notifications. To transfer these files, follow these steps:

     

    1. Connect the device to a computer using the USB cable.
    2. On the computer when the Windows Explorer window appears, double-click Browse files.
    3. Double-click the Internal storage folder.
    4. Double-click one of the following folders:
      • Music
      • Notifications
    5. Copy the music or sound files from your computer to the open device folder (that you chose in Step 5).
    6. When you are done copying, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray.
    7. Click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Disconnect the device from the computer.
