Set custom sounds

Notifications

To change the notification sounds, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Profiles.
  4. Scroll to and select one of the following sound profiles:

    • General
    • Meeting
    • Outdoor
    • Indoor

  5. Select Options.
  6. Select Customize.
  7. Scroll to and select Message beep.
  8. Choose one of the following options:

    • Select the desired predefined ringtone.
    • Select Phone or SD card and then navigate to and select the desired music or sound file.

  9. Select Save.

 

 

Ringtones

To change the ringtone, follow these steps:

 

Ringtone for all calls

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Profiles.
  4. Scroll to and select one of the following sound profiles:

    • General
    • Meeting
    • Outdoor
    • Indoor

  5. Select Options.
  6. Select Customize.
  7. Scroll to and select Ringtone.
  8. Choose one of the following options:

    • Scroll to and select the desired predefined ringtone.
    • Scroll to and select Phone or SD card and then navigate to and select the desired music or sound file.

  9. Select Save.

 

Ringtone for calls from one contact

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Contacts.
  4. Scroll to and select the desired contact.
  5. Select Options and then select Edit.
  6. Scroll down to the Music note field.
  7. Choose the desired option:

    • Select a factory ringtone
      1. Scroll left or right to the desired ringtone.A preview of the ringtone will sound.

    • Select a music or sound file
      1. Scroll left or right until you reach 'Files.' Select Files.
      2. Select Phone or SD card.
      3. Navigate to and select the desired music or sound file.

  8. Select Options and then select Save.

Transfer

Transfer music or sounds to use

Some devices require you to transfer music, sounds, or other audio files to the device in a certain way for it to be used for ringtones and notifications. To transfer these files, follow these steps:

 

PC

  1. Connect a USB cord to your phone, then to a computer.
  2. On your phone, select Mass storage.
  3. On the computer, navigate to and open the phone’s disk drive.
  4. Click to open the desired folder inside your device memory or SD card.
  5. Copy and paste the desired music or sound files into the device memory or SD card folder.
  6. When finished, safely disconnect the phone from the computer.

 

Mac

  1. Connect the phone to your Mac computer using the USB cable.
  2. On your phone, select Mass storage.
  3. On the Mac computer, if necessary, close any pop-up applications (for example, iPhoto) to reveal the ‘Go’ menu option.
  4. From the top of the screen, click Go.
  5. Click Computer.
  6. Click the Removable disk MAC removable disk.jpg icon that represents your memory card.
    Note: You will see two Removable disk  icons. One represents your device's internal memory and the other your memory card.
  7. Click to open the desired folder(s).
  8. Drag and drop the files on your computer into the desired folders inside your memory card.
  9. When finished, click the Back back icon.jpg icon to navigate back to the Removable disk icons.
  10. Press and hold the control key and then click on the Removable disk MAC removable disk.jpg icon representing your memory card.
  11. Click Eject “[name of memory card]”.
  12. Press and hold the control key and then click on the Removable disk MAC removable disk.jpg icon representing your device’s internal memory.
  13. Click Eject “[name of device’s internal memory]”.
  14. Safely disconnect the phone from the computer.
