Back up apps

Back up contacts

To back up your contacts, follow these steps:

 

  1. Navigate to Home screen 1.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Touch the Status bar and slide down.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Scroll to and tap Copy Contacts from Device to SIM Card.
  6. Read the prompt stating that some contact information will not be copied, and then tap OK.

 

 

Back up media & pictures

 

To back up your media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect the small end of your USB cable to your device and the large end of the cable to your computer.
  2. If necessary, download and install the BlackBerry Link software on your computer. 
    Note: Software may be downloaded through the connection prompt or www.blackberry.com/BlackBerryLink.
  3. On your computer, open BlackBerry Link.
  4. With the BLACKBERRY tab selected, navigate to the music or sound file you want to transfer.
  5. Click the file thumbnail, drag it over the Computer tab, and then drop it.
    Note: The Computer tab label will display whichever name you assigned to it during setup.
  6. When finished transferring files, disconnect your device from the computer.

Restore contacts

To restore backed up contacts, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Home screen 1.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Touch the Status bar and slide down.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Import Contacts from SIM Card.

 

Restore media & pictures

To restore backed up media and pictures, follow these steps:
