    SIM card

    Insert / remove SIM card

    To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

     

    Note: Before removing or replacing the SIM card, make sure the phone is turned off. To turn the phone off, press and hold the Power/Lock key until the power-off image is displayed, then tap Power off.

     

    SIM card – Insert

    1. At the top-center of device, locate back cover tab.
    2. Using the tab on the top of the phone, gently press down and away from device to release the cover.

    3. Insert the SIM card as  shown.
    4. Gently press down on SIM card  until it clicks into place.

    5. Re-insert battery cover by inserting bottom portion of cover first and aligning with guide tabs.
    6. Gently press the cover closed.

     

    SIM card – Remove

     

    1. Locate battery cover tab on the top-center of device.
    2. Using the tab on the top of the phone, gently press down and away from device to release the cover.

    3. Gently press down on top of the SIM card until it clicks and pops out slightly.

    4. Remove SIM card.

    Delete SIM messages

    To delete SIM messages, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Messages icon.
    2. Tap the Menu icon, then tap Settings.
    3. Tap Text messages (SMS).
    4. Tap Manage SIM card messages.
    5. Touch and hold the message you want to delete.
    6. Tap Delete.
    7. Tap OK.

    Mobile Device Unlock

    Mobile Device Unlock

    The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

     

    Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

     

    1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
    2. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
    3. Verify the IMEI by entering *#06#.
    4. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
    5. Turn on the phone with the blocked SIM. The phone displays a screen to enter the unblock code.
    6. Enter the unblock code.
    7. Tap OK.
