  1. An incoming call will display on the screen.
  2. Tap Answer.

  1. To mute the ringtone for an incoming call, press  the Volume key on the right side of  the phone.

Incoming ID

How incoming caller ID works and how to  turn it on

 

How incoming caller ID works:

 

Incoming caller ID shows information about  incoming calls on the display screen. It automatically shows the caller's name  and phone number if it is in the phone book. When the information is  not in the phone book, it only displays the caller's number.

 

Outgoing ID - Enable

How to turn on or enable outgoing caller ID

 

To enable outgoing caller ID so people you  call can see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From  the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap  Call settings.
  3. Scroll down and tap Additional settings.
  4. Tap Caller ID.
  5. Tap Show number.

 

Outgoing ID - Restrict

How to restrict, turn off, or disable  outgoing caller ID

 

To restrict outgoing caller  ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these  steps:

 

  1. From  the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Call  settings.
  3. Scroll down and tap Additional settings.
  4. Tap Caller  ID.
  5. Tap Hide  number.


Picture ID - Set

How to add or set up picture caller ID for  specific callers on incoming calls

 

To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

 

Note: You can assign picture ID to contacts  stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card.

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the blue Contacts icon.
  2. Tap the contact that you want to change.
  3. Tap the Menu key.
  4. Tap Edit.
  5. Tap the Menu key.
  6. Tap Add  photo.
  7. Tap one of the following: 
    • Take  photo:
      1. Frame  the subject.
      2. Tap  the Shutter icon to  capture the picture.
      3. Tap  Done.
      4. Touch  and slide the box to the desired position.
      5. Touch and drag the box boundary to adjust  the size.
      6. Tap  Save.
      7. Tap Save again.
    • Use  existing photo:
      1. Locate  and tap the desired picture.
      2. Touch  and slide the box to the desired position.
      3. Touch and drag the box boundary to adjust  the size.
      4. Tap Save.
      5. Tap Save again.
  8. Tap Save.

 

Ringer ID - Set (Android 2.1)

How to add or set up ringer caller ID for  specific callers on incoming calls

 

To assign a ringer to a contact,  follow these steps:

How to cancel or turn off all call forwarding

 

To turn off or cancel all call forwarding  (including voicemail forwarding), follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Call  settings.
  4. Tap Call  forwarding.
  5. Tap Always  forward.
  6. Tap Disable.

 

Forward all calls (unconditional forwarding)

How to set or activate unconditional call  forwarding to forward all calls

 

To activate unconditional call forwarding,  follow these steps:

 

Note: Call  Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls  to another phone number without allowing the phone to ring.

 

  1. From  the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap  Settings.
  3. Tap  Call settings.
  4. Tap  Call forwarding.
  5. Tap  Always forward.
  6. Enter  the phone number you want to forward to, or tap the Silhouette icon to select a number from your  contact list.
      Note: The number for voicemail  forwarding is +18056377243.
  7. Tap  Enable.

 

Forward some calls (conditional forwarding)

How to set or activate conditional call  forwarding (no reply, busy, unavailable) and seconds to delay

 

To activate conditional call forwarding,  follow these steps:

 

Note: Call  Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if  you do not or cannot answer them.

 

  1. From  the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap  Settings.
  3. Tap  Call settings.
  4. Tap  Call forwarding.
  5. Tap  a forwarding option: 
    • Forward  when busy
    • Forward  when unanswered

DTMF tones

How to turn on or turn off DTMF tones (tap  tones)

 

DTMF tones are on  by default. You cannot turn off DTMF tones.

 

Note: Your phone can  send a number to the network as dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones. DTMF  tones are used to communicate with automated systems that require you to type a  number such as a code, password, or credit card number.

 

Fixed dialing

How to disable fixed dialing

 

T-Mobile does not support fixed  dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow  these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Call  settings.
  4. Tap Fixed  dialing number.
  5. Tap FDN  enabled.
  6. Enter the PIN2 code. The default code is 5678.
  7. Tap OK.

Note: Call timers approximate the time you have  used on phone calls Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile  bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest  minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in  seconds.

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. Tap the Recent tab.
  3. Tap the drop-down Arrow below the tabs.
  4. Tap one of the following: 
    • All calls
    • Missed calls
    • Received calls
    • Outgoing calls
  5. Tap the Menu key.
  6. Tap Clear  List.

 

View timer

How to view call timers to see the duration of calls on the phone

 

To view call timers, follow these steps:

 

Note: Call timers approximate the time you have  used on phone calls. Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile  bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest  minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in  seconds.
