Battery - Charge

 

How to charge the battery

 

To charge the battery, follow these steps:

 

Note: If the battery level is below 25%, use the AC adapter instead of a car charger or USB cable.

 

  1. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the mini-USB port on the bottom of the phone.
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the charger.
  3. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet.

  2. Insert the battery with the Garmin-Asus logo facing up and the metal contacts on the battery aligned with the metal contacts in the battery compartment.

  3. Replace the battery cover.

 

To remove

 

  1. Slide the battery cover off the back of the phone.

Mount - Mount to windshield

 

How to mount the phone to the windshield

 

Your phone comes with a mounting device that mounts your phone to your vehicle’s windshield. While plugged in and cradled, your phone defaults to speakerphone when you receive incoming calls. To mount your phone to the windshield, follow these steps:

 

  1. Plug the vehicle power cable into the power connector on the back of the cradle.
  2. Remove the clear plastic from the suction cup.
  3. Clean and dry your windshield and the suction cup with a lint-free cloth.
  4. Place the suction cup on the windshield.

  5. Flip the lever back, toward the windshield.
  6. Snap the cradle onto the suction cup arm.
  7. Fit the gold contacts on the left side of your device into the cradle.
  8. Tilt the device back until it snaps into the cradle.
  9. Plug the other end of the vehicle power cable into a power outlet in your vehicle

SIM card

 

How to insert or remove the SIM card

 

Related error: ‘Network locked’

 

The ‘Network locked’ error message displays when the SIM card is not inserted correctly or not present in the device.  It does not mean a SIM subsidy unlock code is needed. To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

  1. Slide the battery cover off the back of the phone.

Liquid damage indicator (LDI)

 

How to find the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI)

 

Each T-Mobile phone includes an indicator that shows if it has been subjected to water, thereby voiding the warranty. To view the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI), remove the back cover and battery from your phone. Refer to the following illustrations to read the label:

How to access files on a memory card from a computer

 

To view files on a memory card from a computer, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. On your phone, tap File Transfers.
  3. On your computer, click Cancel at the Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard screen if it opens.
  4. Select Open folder to view files using Windows Explore.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Navigate to the desired file on your memory card.

    Note: When you right-click the Start button on your computer and click Explore, you should see the SD Card and Garmin-Asus nuvifone drives. The SD Card drive contains files saved on your memory card, and the Garmin-Asus drive contains files saved on your phone’s memory.
