To answer an incoming call, perform one of the following actions:

 

  • Press the green Send key to select Answer.

To view the call logs, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select Call Log.

3. Press the Menu key.

5. Scroll to and select General Options.

6. Scroll to and select the Phone List View and press the trackball drop-down menu.

7. Select one of the following options:

  • Most Recent
  • Most Used
  • Name

8. Press the Menu key.

9. Select Save.

 

 

 

How to make or dial an outgoing call

 

To make a call, follow these steps:

 

Using the keypad

1. From the Home screen, enter the phone number.

2. Press the green Send key to initiate the call.

  • Note: To add a plus sign for international country codes, press the letter O key.

Using the address book

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select Contacts icon.

3. Scroll to and select the contact you want to call.

4. Press the green Send key.

Using speed dial

From the Home screen, press and hold the assigned number key.

 

 

How to end, hang up, or disconnect a call

 

To end a call, press the red End key.

 

 

How to put a call on hold and return to it

 

To put a call on hold and return to it, follow these steps:

 

To hold

  1. While on a call, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select Hold.

To resume

  1. While on a call, press the Menu key.
  2. Select Resume.

Caller ID

How incoming caller ID works and how to turn it on

 

Incoming caller ID shows information about incoming calls on the display screen. It automatically shows the caller's name and phone number if it is in the phone book. When the information is not in the address book, it only displays the caller's number. It is not possible to disable this feature on the device.

To enable outgoing caller ID so people you call can see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Scroll to and select Options.
  5. Scroll to General Options.
  6. Press the trackball.
  7. Scroll to Restrict My Identity.
  8. Press the Space key until Never displays.
  9. Press the Menu key.

To restrict outgoing caller ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

  6. Scroll to and select Restrict My Identity.
  7. Scroll to and select Always.

You can assign picture ID to contacts stored in the address book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Contacts icon.
  3. Scroll to the contact.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to and select Add Picture.
  6. Scroll to and select the folder that contains the picture.
  7. Scroll to and select the picture.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Select Crop and Save.
  10. The device displays Picture set.
  11. Select OK.

Call Forwarding

How to set or activate unconditional call forwarding to forward all calls

 

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the handset to ring. To activate unconditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Scroll to and select Options.

5. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.

6. Select Forward All Calls.

7. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.

8. Scroll to and select +18056377249 (the voicemail server number).

o Note: If you wish to select a different number, press the Menu key and select one of the following:

  • New Number
    1. Enter the new number.
    2. Press the trackball.
    3. Press the Escape key.
    4. Scroll to and select Forward All Calls.
    5. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
    6. Scroll to and select the number you just added.
  • Edit Numbers
    1. Scroll to and select the number you wish to edit.
    2. Scroll to and select Edit.
    3. Enter the desired number.
    4. Press the trackball.
    5. Press the Escape key.
    6. Scroll to and select Forward All Calls.
    7. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
    8. Press the trackball.
    9. Scroll to and select the number you just edited.

9. Press the Menu key.

10. Select Save

 

 

How to set or activate conditional call forwarding (no reply, busy, unavailable)

 

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them. To activate conditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Select Options.

5. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.

6. Scroll to and select Forward Unanswered Calls.

7. Scroll to and select one of the following options:

  • If Busy
  • If No Reply
  • If Not Reachable

8. Scroll to and select +18056377249 (the voicemail server number).

o Note: If you wish to select a different number, press the Menu key and select one of the following:

  • New Number
    1. Enter the new number.
    2. Press the trackball.
    3. Press the Escape key.
    4. Scroll to and select Forward Unanswered Calls.
    5. Scroll to If Busy, If No Reply, or If Not Reachable.
    6. Press the trackball.
    7. Scroll to and select the number you just added.

Voicemail forwarding forwards incoming calls to your voicemail so that callers can leave a message. To activate default voicemail forwarding by canceling all user defined forwarding, follow these steps:

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Scroll to and select Options.

5. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.

6. Scroll to and select Forward All Calls.

T-Mobile does not support fixed dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.

3. Press and the Menu key.

4. Scroll to and select Options.

5. Scroll to and select FDN Phone List.

6. Press the Menu key.

7. Scroll to and select Disable FDN Mode.

8. Enter the PIN2 code.

  • Note: The default PIN2 code is 5678.

9. Press the trackball.

Call Timer

How to reset or clear call timers

 

Call timers approximate the time you have used on phone calls. To reset call timers, follow these steps:

Note: Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in seconds.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Scroll to and select Status.

5. Scroll to and select Last Call or Total Calls.

6. Scroll to and select Clear Timer or Clear All Timers.

While on a call, call waiting alerts you of new incoming calls and allows you to answer them without hanging up. To turn on or turn off call waiting, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select the Call Log icon.

3. Press the Menu key.

4. Scroll to and select Options.

5. Scroll to and select Call Waiting.

6. Select Call Waiting Enabled.

7. Scroll to and select Yes or No.

8. Press the Menu key.

9. Select Save.

Conference Calling

How to have a private conversation with one person while on a conference call or in a three-way call

 

To speak privately with one caller in a conference call and put the other callers on hold, follow these steps:

1. During a conference call, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select Split Call.

3. Scroll to and select the number that you want to speak to privately.

Place the first call before using call conferencing. To add additional callers to the conference, follow these steps:

 

1. During a call, press the Menu key.

2. Scroll to and select New Call.

  • To enter a new number:
    1. Enter the phone number.
