    Camera

     

    Camera settings

    To adjust the settings for how the camera takes or displays pictures, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Camera.
    3. Change one or more of the following settings:

     

    Zoom

    Tap the Plus (+) or Minus (-) icons to zoom in or zoom out.

     

    White balance

      1. Tap the White Balance ( when Automatic is enabled) icon.
      2. Tap one of the following options:
        • Auto
        • Incandescent
        • Daylight
        • Fluorescent
        • Cloudy

     

    Effects

      1. Tap the Effects icon.
      2. Tap one of the following options:
        • None
        • Mono
        • Sepia
        • Negative
        • Solarize

     

    Settings

    Tap the Settings icon to change the following options:

     

      • Store location (GPS tag)
      • Picture size
      • Picture quality
      • Anti banding

     

    Front/Rear

    Tap the Front/Rear icon to change to the Rear or Front facing camera.

     

    Camera/Camcorder mode

      • Tap the Camcorder icon to change to Camcorder mode.
      • Tap the Camera icon to return to Camera mode.

     

    Pictures – Access

    To view pictures, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Gallery.

     

    Pictures – Delete

    To delete pictures from the tablet’s memory, follow these steps:

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Gallery.
    3. Locate and touch and hold the picture you want to delete.
    4. Tap the Trash Can icon
    5. Tap Confirm Delete.

     

    Pictures – Take / capture

    To take a picture, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Camera.
    3. Frame the subject.
    4. Tap the Shutter icon.

     

     

    Music player

     

    Access music player

    To access the music player, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.

     

    Amazon MP3

    Amazon MP3 is available through Play Store.

     

    We’re sorry, but this feature is not available on your device. However, you may download a non-T-Mobile application from Play Store for access to this service.

     

    FM radio – Not supported

    Move music – From computer to memory card

    To move files from a computer to the tablet’s memory card, follow these steps:

     

    On a Windows computer

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Storage.
    4. Under MTP, tap to select the Auto-open check box.
    5. Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB/charging port on your tablet.
    6. Plug the large end of the USB cable into the USB port of your computer.
    7. A Portable Device window may open on your computer’s desktop. Click Open device to view files using Windows Explorer and then click OK.

     

    OR

     

    1. On your computer, click Start and then click My Computer.
    2. Double-click SpringBoard  to access the folders and files of the tablet’s internal storage and the memory (SD) card (if available). If no memory card is installed, only Internal Storage will be present.
    3. Double-click SD Card to access the memory card’s folders and files.
    4. Drag and drop the files from your computer into a memory card folder.
    5. When you are finished, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray on the lower right-hand corner of your computer desktop.
    6. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device - Drives.

    Disconnect the USB cable from your computer and then from your tablet.

     

    On a Macintosh computer

    For Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.5 or later, you need Android File Transfer to access and transfer files between your Mac and an Android device running Android 3.0 or later.

     

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Storage.
    4. Under MTP, tap to select the Auto-open check box.
    5. Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB/charging port on your tablet.
    6. Plug the large end of the USB cable into the USB port of your Mac computer.
    7. On your computer, navigate to the Applications folder and double-click Android File Transfer.
    8. A Finder window named SpringBoard will open and allow access to folders and files on the tablet’s internal storage and the memory (SD) card (if available). If no memory card is installed, only Internal Storage will be present.
    9. Click SD Card to access the memory card’s folders and files.
    10. Drag and drop the music files from your computer into a memory card folder.
    11. When you are finished, close the SpringBoard Finder window or exit the Android File Transfer application.
    12. Disconnect the USB cable from your computer and then from your tablet.

     

    Playlist – Add files

    To add music files to an existing playlist, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.
    3. Tap the Drop-down menu icon on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap Songs.
    4. Locate the song you want to add to a playlist.
    5. Tap the song’s Drop-down menu icon and tap Add to playlist.
    6. Tap the playlist you want to add the song to.

     

    Playlist – Create

    To create a playlist, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.
    3. Tap the Drop-down menu icon on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap Playlists.
    4. Tap the New playlist (+) icon.
    5. Enter a name for the new playlist.
    6. Tap OK.

     

    Playlist – Delete files

    To delete files from a playlist, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.
    3. Tap the Drop-down menu icon on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap Playlists.
    4. Tap the playlist you want to remove a song from.
    5. Locate the song you want to remove from the playlist.
    6. Tap the song’s Drop-down menu icon and tap Remove from playlist.

     

    Playlist – Delete playlist

    To delete a playlist, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.
    3. Tap the Drop-down menu icon on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap Playlists.
    4. Touch and hold the playlist you want to delete.
    5. Tap Delete.
    6. Tap OK.

     

    Playlist – Play

    To play music files, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Music.
    3. Tap the Drop-down menu icon on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap Playlists.
    4. Touch and hold the playlist you want to play.
    5. Tap Play.

     

    Supported music files

    This tablet has a portable music player that supports the following file formats and bitrates:

     

    • AAC
    • AAC+
    • eAAC+
    • MIDI
    • MP3
    • MPEG4
    • WAV

     

     

    Sound Recorder

     

    Audio files – Delete

    To delete audio files that were recorded with Sound Recorder, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Sound Recorder.
    3. Tap the Sound Library icon.
    4. Tap Record to see a list of all Sound Recorder files (if present).
    5. Tap to select the check box of each file you want to delete.
    6. Tap the Trash can icon.
    7. Tap Yes.

     

    Audio files – Record / save

    Sound Recorder allows you to record audio files you can send as email attachments, allowing you to send a voice message with your tablet.

     

    To record audio files, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Sound Recorder.
    3. Tap the round Record icon to begin recording.
    4. When done, tap the square Stop icon.
    5. If desired, tap the Play icon to review the recording.

     

     

    Video

     

    Access / play

    To view videos stored on the tablet or on its memory card, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Gallery.
    3. Tap Camera.
    4. Tap the video you want to play.

     

    Record

    To record video, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Camcorder.
    3. Frame the subject.
    4. Tap the red Record icon.
    5. When finished, tap the square Stop icon.

     

    Supported video files

    This tablet supports the following video file formats and bitrates:

     

    1. 3GPP
    2. H.263
    3. H.264
    4. MPEG4
    5. Streaming

     

     

    YouTube

     

    Access YouTube

    To access YouTube from the tablet, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap YouTube.
    3. If necessary, review the mobile terms of service and tap Accept.

     

    Search for videos

    To search for YouTube videos, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap YouTube.
    3. Tap the Search icon to enter search text using the keyboard.
    4. Tap the Enter key on the keyboard.

     

    View video categories

    To view YouTube video categories, follow these steps:

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap YouTube.
    3. Tap Browse.

     

    Upload video

    To upload videos, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap YouTube.
    3. Tap Your Channel.
    4. If prompted, tap the account you want to use.
    5. Tap Upload on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
    6. Locate and tap the video you want to upload.
    7. If necessary, enter your YouTube account information or create a new account.
    8. If necessary, tap Sign in.
    9. Enter a title for your video.
    10. Tap Upload.

     

    Watch video

    To watch YouTube videos, follow these steps:

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap YouTube.
    3. Locate and tap the desired video.
