Incorrect time displays on status bar / alarms / weather / home screen: HTC Amaze 4G

    The time displayed on the Status bar, alarms, weather app, and home screen widget may be different from the network time by several hours.

     

    To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

     

    1. Restart the device:
      1. Press and hold the Power key.
      2. Tap Restart.
      3. Wait until the device restarts.
    2. Check the time.
    3. If the time is still wrong, set the automatic time updates:
      1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
      2. Tap Settings.
      3. Tap Date & time.
      4. Tap the Automatic check box to disable automatic network updates.
      5. Tap the Automatic check box again to re-enable automatic network updates.
    4. Check the time.
    5. If the time is still wrong, set the time manually:
      1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
      2. Tap Settings.
      3. Tap Date & time.
      4. Tap the Automatic check box to disable automatic network updates.
      5. Tap Set time.
      6. Enter the current time.
      7. Tap OK.
    6. Check the time.
    7. If the time is still wrong, perform a master reset.
