Cannot unlock the phone with correct password: HTC HD2

If you phone lock, you may notice that sometimes you cannot unlock the phone even though you are entering in the correct password.

 

This issue was resolved with software version 3.14.531.1. Please verify that you are running this software version.

 

To resolve this, you must perform a master reset. To perform a Master Reset, follow Master reset - HTC HD2. This is the only way to access the phone again. This deletes all data on the phone. If you use Microsoft My Phone, you can retrieve your information. To avoide this issue. do not use the phone lock feature in the future. You can lock the SIM card if you are concerned about the security of your phone.
