'Initialization failed' error: All BlackBerry phones

    To resolve the error: 'Initialization failed', follow these steps:

     

    1. Remove the battery and SIM card.
    2. Inspect the SIM for any possible damage.
    3. Re-insert the SIM card.
    4. If the issue persists, test the SIM card in another BlackBerry of the same model if available.
      • If you cannot test the SIM, replace the SIM card.
      • If the SIM does not work in the other BlackBerry, replace the SIM card.
      • If the SIM works in the other BlackBerry, continue to the steps below.
    5. If the issue still persists, reload the device software.
