Change a rate plan or feature on My T-Mobile

    Some accounts have access to change rate plans or features online. Feature-only changes take effect within 24 hours and may result in pro-rated charges on the next bill.

     

    Note: Not all accounts have access to change services online.

     

    Change a rate plan

     

    1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
    2. Under Manage, Plans & Services, select Change Plan.
    3. Choose the type of device you are using.
    4. Locate the desired plan and click Add to Cart.
    5. Select an optional feature (if desired).
    6. Click Done adding services.
    7. Review your changes.
    8. Choose the change effective date.
    9. To confirm and save changes, select the check box at bottom of screen and then click Submit Changes.

     

    Change a feature or service

     

    1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
    2. Click Mange, Plans & Services, select Change Services.
    3. Locate and select the desired services.
    4. Click on Done adding services.
    5. Review your changes.
    6. Choose the change effective date.
    7. To confirm and save changes, select the check box at bottom of screen and then click Submit Changes.
    8. On the ONE-TIME PAYMENT: PAY BY CREDIT CARD page, fill out the necessary payment information and click CONTINUE.

      Note: Once the payment is processed, an ORDER CONFIRMATION page appears.

     

     

    Length of Time for Changes to Become Effective

     

    Service Changes


    While data features become effective immediately, the provisioning of data features can take longer. The following data services may take up to two hours to become functional: 

     

    • All BlackBerry Services and Features EXCEPT for BBINTL (Unlimited International BlackBerry E-mail, which is a billing feature)
    • SMS/SPAM Keyword filters (T-Mobile.com)
    • My E-mail
    • Ringtones
    • Games - Download Fun
    • My Album
    • Sidekick Service
    • web2go Home Page (paid feature)
    • All Other data SOCs and Rate Plan features
    • T-Mobile Android (G1) Services and Features
    • T-Mobile myTouch 3G Services and Features
    • web2go DayPass 

     

    Account Changes

     

    Account changes may take up to two hours to complete.

    In most cases, it takes less than 2 hours for services to become functional but can take up to 24 hours.

     

    Tip: Although this does not speed up the provisioning timeline, it may help with other issues such as ‘lowercase edge.’
