Adding a contact

To add a contact, perform the following steps:
1. At the MySpace Messenger screen, select Options.
2. Scroll to and select Contact options.
3. Scroll to and select Add contact.
4. Enter the new contact's e-mail address.
5. If desired, enter the new contact's nickname.
6. Select Add.
7. Select OK.

Blocking a contact

To block a contact, perform the following steps:
1. At the MySpace Messenger screen, select the contact you want to block.
2. Select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Contact options.
4. Select Block contact.
5. Select OK.

Deleting a contact

To delete a contact, perform the following steps:
1. At the MySpace Messenger screen, select the contact you want to delete.
2. Select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Contact options.
4. Select Delete.
5. Select OK.

Signing in

To sign in, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start.
2. Scroll to and select Instant Messaging.
3. Scroll to and select MySpace IM.
4. If requested, select Yes to enable MySpace IM.
5. If requested, select Accept to accept the terms of use.
6. Enter your e-mail addresss and password.
7. Select Sign In.

Signing out

To sign out, perform the following steps:
1. Select Options.
2. Scroll to and select Exit.
3. Select Sign out.
4. Select Yes.

Sending a message to a contact

To send a message to a contact, perform the following steps:
1. At the MySpace Messenger screen, scroll to the desired contact.
2. Select Send IM.
3. Enter a message to your contact.
4. Select Send IM.

Setting the away status

To set the away status, perform the following steps:
1. At the MySpace Messenger screen, select Options.
2. Scroll to and select My Status.
3. Scroll to and select from the following options:
  • Away
  • Hidden
  • Custom Status
