Activating or deactivating GPS
To activate or deactivate GPS, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the Home screen, click Start. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Google Maps. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select Use GPS. |
NOTE: When GPS is on and active, it displays a selected check box.
| 6. | Select User GPS again to clear the check box. |
NOTE: Turning GPS off saves battery power.
Getting directions with Google Maps
To get directions with Google Maps, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the Home screen, click Start. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Google Maps. |
| 4. | Scroll to and select Directions. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select Start Point. |
| 6. | Enter a Start Point city or address. |
| 7. | Scroll to and select an End Point. |
| 8. | Enter an End Point city or address. |
Accessing TeleNav
NOTE: The phone provides pre-loaded access to a 14-day free trial. To continue to use the service after the trial period ends, you need to purchase a license.
TeleNav provides GPS navigation right on your phone. It provides turn-by-turn driving directions by voice and on screen. Locate, call, or navigate to restaurants, hotels, ATMs, Wi-Fi hotspots, and more from a directory of over 10 million businesses. Avoid traffic jams with real-time traffic alerts and intelligent rerouting.
To access TeleNav, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the Home screen, click Start. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select TeleNav. |
| 3. | If prompted, select Accept to accept the Terms of Service. |
| 4. | Enter your first name, last name, and e-mail address. |
