Accessing files


On a card using the computer

To access files on a card using the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug the USB cable into the sync connector port on the phone.

2. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.
3. In ActiveSync on your computer, click Explore.

4. The Mobile Device folder will open to display the files on your phone.

On a card using the phone

To access files on a card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.

3. Scroll to and select File Manager. You should be in the My Documents folder.

4. Select Menu.
5. Scroll to and select Storage Card.

Deleting files


On a card using the computer

To delete files on a card using the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug the USB cable into the sync connector port on the phone.
2. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.
3. In ActiveSync on your computer, click Explore.

4. The Mobile Device folder will open to display the files on your phone.

5. Navigate to the file you want to delete.
6. Right click with your mouse and select Delete.

On a card using the phone

To delete files on a card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.

3. Scroll to and select File Manager. You should be in the My Documents folder.

4. Select Menu.
5. Scroll to and select Storage Card.
6. Scroll to the file you want to delete.
7. Select Menu.
8. Scroll to and select Edit.
9. Scroll to and select Delete.
10. Select Yes to confirm.

Inserting a SIM card

To insert a SIM card, perform the following steps:
1. Swing open the memory card cover.
2. With the gold contacts on the card facing down, insert the memory card into the memory card slot.
3. Push on the memory card until it clicks into place.
4. Swing the memory card cover closed.

Removing a SIM card

NOTE: Do not remove the memory card when it is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage the memory card, the phone, and the data stored on the card.
To remove a SIM card, perform the following steps:
1. Verify that no applications are accessing the memory card.
2. Swing open the memory card cover.
3. Push on the memory card until it ejects from the phone.
4. Remove the memory card from the phone.
5. Swing the memory card cover closed.

Moving files


From the card to the computer

To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug the USB cable into the sync connector port on the phone.
2. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.
3. In ActiveSync on your computer, click Explore.

4. The Mobile Phone folder will open to display the files on your phone.

5. Navigate to the file (or folder) that you want to move to your computer.
6. Right click your mouse on the file (or folder) and select Cut. You can also select Copy if you want to leave a copy of the file (or folder) in its current location.
7. Navigate to the folder on your computer where you want to move the file.
8. Right click your mouse and select Paste.

From the card to the phone

To move files from the card to the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.

4. Select Menu.
5. Scroll to and select Storage Card.
6. Locate the file you want to move.
7. Select Menu.

5. On your computer, right click your mouse on the Start menu button in your taskbar, and select Explore.
6. Navigate to the file or folder that you want to move to your phone.

7. Right click your mouse on the file or folder and select Cut. You can also select Copy if you want to leave a copy of the file (or folder) in its current location.
8. Navigate to the folder in the Mobile Device window where you want to move the file.
9. Right click your mouse and select Paste.

From the phone to a card

To move files from the phone to a card, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
