Accessing files on the card using the computer
To access files on the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Connect USB cable to your device and to the USB port on your computer. |
| 2. | On your computer, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application. |
| 4. | Under Media Manager, click Start. |
| 5. | Under View connected devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN]. |
| 6. | Under My Devices, click BlackBerry 8220-PIN[your PIN] [Media Card]. |
| 7. | Browse to the file that you want to access. |
Accessing files on the card using the phone
To access files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to the Pictures icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to Picture Folders and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to Media Card and press the trackball. |

Deleting files on the card using the computer
To delete files on the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Connect USB cable to your device and to the USB port on your computer. |
| 2. | On your computer, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application. |
| 4. | Under Media Manager, click Start. |
| 5. | Under View connected devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN]. |
| 6. | Under My Devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN] [Media Card]. |
| 7. | Browse to the file that you want to delete |
| 8. | Press the Delete key on the computer keyboard. |
Deleting files on the card using the phone
To delete files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to the Pictures icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to Picture Folders and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to Media Card and press the trackball. |
| 6. | Scroll to the desired folder and press the trackball. |
| 7. | Scroll to the file that you want to delete. |
| 9. | Scroll to Delete and press the trackball. |

Inserting the memory card
To insert or remove the memory card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Open the memory card cover. |
| 2. | With the metal contacts on the card facing up, insert the memory card into the memory card slot. |
| 3. | Push on the memory card until it clicks into place. |
| 4. | Close the memory card cover |

Removing the memory card
To remove the memory card, perform the following:
| 1. | Open the memory card cover. |
| 2. | Press the card in and release to eject the card. |
| 3. | Remove the card from the phone. |
| 4. | Close the memory card cover. |

Moving files from the card to the computer
To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Connect USB cable to your device and to the USB port on your computer. |
| 2. | On your computer, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application. |
| 4. | Under Media Manager, click Start. |
| 5. | Under View connected devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN]. |
| 6. | Under My Devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN] [Media Card]. |
| 7. | Browse to the file that you want to move. |
| 8. | Browse to the folder where you want to save the files. |
| 9. | To move the files to your computer, click Move Up. To copy files to your computer, click Copy Up. |
Moving files from the computer to the card
To move files from the computer to the card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Connect USB cable to your device and to the USB port on your computer. |
| 2. | On your computer, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application. |
| 4. | Under Media Manager, click Start. |
| 5. | Under View connected devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN]. |
| 6. | Under My Devices, click BlackBerry 8220 PIN-[your PIN] [Media Card]. |
| 7. | Browse to the folder where you want to save the files. |
| 8. | Browse to the file that you want to move. |
| 9. | Click Copy Down. The Copy Files dialog box appears. |
| 10. | Select one of the following options: |
- Convert for optimal playback to automatically convert the files to the optimal format and size for your device.
- Copy with no conversion to copy the files with the existing format and size.
- Advanced conversion options to select a destination format and size.
Moving files from the card to the phone
To move files from the card to the phone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select either Music, Videos, RingTones, Pictures, or Voice Notes and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to the file you want to move and press the trackball. |
| 6. | Scroll to Move and press the trackball. |
| 7. | Scroll to Device Memory and press the trackball. |
| 8. | Scroll to Move Here and press the trackball. |
Moving files from the phone to the card
To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to select either Music, Videos, Ring Tones, Pictures, or Voice Notes and press the trackball. |
| 4. | At My Pictures press the trackball. |
| 5. | Use the trackball to navigate to the file you want to move. Once you locate the file, press the trackball to open it. |
| 7. | Scroll to Move and press the trackball. |
| 8. | Navigate to the desired folder and press the trackball. |
| 10. | Scroll to Move Here and press the trackball. |

Setting the default memory location
To set the default memory location, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Camera icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to Options and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to the Store Pictures and press the trackball. |
| 6. | Scroll to In Device Memory or On Media Card and press the trackball. |
| 8. | Scroll to Save and press the trackball. |
