Taking pictures
NOTE: If no media card is inserted, pictures are saved by default to Menu >Media > Pictures > Picture Folders.

Accessing the camera from the right convenience key
To access the camera from the right convenience key, perform the following steps.
| 1. | Press the Right Convenience key on the side of the device. |
| 2. | Frame the subject, and then press the trackball to take a picture. |
Accessing the camera from the menu key
To access the camera from the menu key, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Camera icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Frame the subject and press the trackball. |

Accessing pictures
To access pictures, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to the Pictures icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to All Pictures and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to the picture you want and press the trackball. |

Deleting pictures
To delete pictures, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Media icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Scroll to the Pictures icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to All Pictures and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to the picture you want to delete, and then press the Menu key. |
| 6. | Scroll to Delete and press the trackball. |
| 7. | At Delete, press the trackball. |

Changing camera settings
NOTE: You can change the various camera settings on your phone, such as flash, picture size, quality, default save location, and the color effect.
To change the camera settings, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Camera icon and press the trackball. |
| 4. | Scroll to Options and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Scroll to the desired setting and press the trackball. |
| 6. | Scroll to the desired option and press the trackball. |
The following are the available camera setting options:
- Default Flash Setting
- Off – The flash will never go off when taking a picture.
- On – The flash will always go off when taking a picture.
- Automatic – The phone will detect the light level in your current environment and will decide whether or not a flash is needed for each picture.
- White Balance– This setting will change the contrast of the pictures taken to optimal for the listed conditions:
- Automatic – The phone will attempt to automatically detect what type of environment you are in and adjust the contrast for each picture.
- Sunny – Ideal for outdoor pictures on a sunny day.
- Cloudy – Ideal for outdoor pictures on a cloudy day.
- Night – Ideal for pictures in low-light conditions.
- Incandescent – Ideal for indoor pictures with incandescent lighting.
- Fluorescent – Ideal for indoor pictures with fluorescent lighting
- Picture Size – This will change the size of pictures taken. Larger pictures require more storage space.
- Large (1600 x 1200)
- Medium (1024 x 768)
- Small (640 x 480)
- Picture Quality – This will change the quality of pictures taken. Finer quality pictures require more storage space.
- Superfine – Best quality.
- Fine – Medium quality.
- Normal – Lowest quality
- Color Effect
- Normal – With this selected, the phone will take color pictures.
- Black & White – With this selected the phone will take black and white pictures.
- Sepia – With this selected the phone will take pictures with a sepia tint for an old-fashioned look.
- Store Pictures – This will give you the option to store pictures you take to either the device memory or the media card if one is inserted. It is highly recommended that you store pictures to the media card if one is available to prevent your device memory from getting full.
- Folder – This setting will allow you to change the default location to which images will be saved when taken with the phone’s camera.
