Accessing files

From the card using the computer ›

From the card using the computer

To access files from the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.
2. At the Home screen, tap the top of the screen and drag down to display the Notifications window.
3. Tap USB connected.

4. Tap Mount.

NOTE: The Removable Disk window appears on your computer screen.
5. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.
6. When you are done accessing files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon, and then click Safely remove Mass Storage Device.
7. Disconnect the phone from the computer.

From the card using the phone

To access files from the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, tap the Application button.
2. Tap the Gallery icon.
3. Tap Camera pictures or Camera videos.
4. Tap the desired file to view it.

Deleting files

From the card using the computer

To delete files from the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.
2. At the Home screen, tap the top of the screen and then drag down to display the Notifications window.
3. Tap USB connected.

NOTE: The Removable Disk window appears on your computer screen.
5. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.
6. Click the file that you want to delete.
7. Press the Delete key on the computer keyboard.
8. When you are finished deleting files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click Safely remove Mass Storage Device.
9. Disconnect the phone from the computer.

From the card using the phone

To delete files from the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, tap the Applications button.
2. Tap the Gallery icon.
3. Tap Camera pictures or Camera videos.
4. Touch and hold the file you wish to delete.
5. Tap Delete.
6. Tap OK.

Inserting the memory card

To insert the memory card, perform the following steps:
1. Slide open the device to reveal the keyboard.
2. Locate the memory card cover located below the green Send key.
3. Pull back on the cover to open it.

4. Insert the memory card with the gold contacts facing down.
5. Close the memory card cover.

Removing the memory card

To remove the memory card, perform the following steps:
1. Slide open the device to reveal the keyboard.
2. Locate the memory card cover located below the green Send key.
3. Pull back on the cover to open it.
4. Push the memory card in until it releases.
5. Remove the memory card.
6. Close the memory card cover.

From the card to the computer

To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.
2. At the Home screen, tap the top of the screen and drag down to display the Notifications window.
3. Tap USB connected.

NOTE: The Removable Disk window appears on your computer screen.
5. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.
6. Copy and paste or drag and drop the file to a folder on your computer.
7. When you are done moving files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click Safely remove Mass Storage Device.
8. Disconnect the phone from the computer.

From the computer to the card

To move files from the computer to the card, perform the following steps:
1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.
2. At the Home screen, tap the top of the screen and drag down to display the Notifications window.
3. Tap USB connected.

4. Tap Mount.

NOTE: The Removable Disk window appears on your computer screen.
5. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.
6. Copy and paste or drag and drop a file from your computer to a folder on your memory card.
7. When you are done moving files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click Safely remove Mass Storage Device.
8. Disconnect the phone from the computer.

Viewing the memory

To view the memory, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap and slide the menu upward, and then tap SD card & device storage.
4. Under SD card or Internal Phone Storage, view Available space.
