Changing the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card PIN code

To change the SIM card PIN code, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security Details.
4. Scroll to and select Change Passwords.
5. Select Unlock Code.
6. Enter your current unlock code and select OK.

NOTE: The default code is 1234.
7. Enter your new unlock code and select OK.
8. Re-enter your new unlock code and select OK.

Changing the security code

Security codes are used when you perform a master reset and master clear.
To change the security code, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security Details.
4. Scroll to and select Change Passwords.
5. Scroll to and select Security Code.
6. Enter your current security code and select OK.

NOTE: The default code is 000000 (six zeroes).
7. Enter your new security code and select OK.
8. Re-enter your new security code and select OK.

SIM lock
The SIM PIN code is used to protect the SIM from being used in other phones. When you enable the SIM PIN code, the phone will prompt you to enter the code after turning it on.
  1. At the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Security Details.
  4. Select SIM PIN
  5. Select on or off.
  6. Enter your SIM PIN and select OK.
NOTE: The default SIM PIN is 1234.
Phone lock
With phone lock enabled, the phone will lock any time it is turned off, and you will need to enter a password when you turn the phone back on.
  1. At the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Security Details.
  4. Select Phone Lock.
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Lock Now: enter the unlock code and select OK.
    • Automatic Lock: select on or off.
  6. Enter the unlock code and select OK.
