Accessing files


On the card using the computer

To access files on the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
NOTE: Verify your phone USB connection is set to Memory Card by going to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, USB Connection Type, and then select Memory Card.
1. With the memory card installed in the phone, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your phone.
NOTE: On your computer, a portable device window will appear.
2. Click Open device to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.

3. Double-click the desired folder to access your files.
4. When you are finished accessing files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen, and then click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
5. Remove the USB cable from your phone.

On the card using the phone

To access files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Select one of the following options: Sounds, Pictures, or Videos.
4. Select Options, and then View Storage Devices.
5. Select Memory Card.
6. Scroll to and select the desired file.

Deleting files


On the card using the computer

To delete files on the card using the computer, perform the following steps:
NOTE: Verify your phone USB connection is set to Memory Card by going to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, USB Connection Type, and then select Memory Card.
1. With the memory card installed in the phone, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your phone.
NOTE: On your computer, a portable device window will appear.
2. Click Open device to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.

3. Double-click the desired folder.
4. Click on the file you want to delete, and then press the Delete key on your computer keyboard.
5. Click Yes to confirm.
6. When you are finished deleting files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen, and then click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
7. Remove the USB cable from your phone.

On the card using the phone

To delete files on the card using the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Select one of the following options: Sounds, Pictures, or Videos.
4. Select Options, and then View Storage Devices.
5. Select Memory Card.
6. Scroll to the file that you want to delete.
7. Select Options, then Manage, and then Delete.
8. Select Yes to confirm.

Inserting or removing the card

To insert or remove the card, perform the following steps:
1. With the phone facing upward, swing open the cover for the memory card slot.
2. With the golden contacts facing down, push the memory card into the memory card slot until it clicks into place.
NOTE: You can remove the card by pushing the memory card in until it clicks and releases, and then pull out the memory card.

From the card to the computer

To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
NOTE: Verify your phone USB connection is set to Memory Card by going to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, USB Connection Type, and then select Memory Card.
1. With the memory card installed in the phone, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your phone.
NOTE: On your computer, a portable device window will appear.
2. Click Open device to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.

3. Double-click the desired folder on your memory card.
4. Drag and drop the files from your memory card to a folder on your computer.
5. When you are finished moving files, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen, and then click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
6. Remove the USB cable from your phone.

From the card to the phone

To move files from the card to the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Select one of the following options: Sounds, Pictures, or Videos.
4. Select Options, and then View Storage Devices.
5. Select Memory Card.
6. Scroll to the file that you want to move.
7. Select Options, then Manage, then Move, and then Phone.

From the computer to the card

To move files from the computer to the card, perform the following steps:
NOTE: Verify your phone USB connection is set to Memory Card by going to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, USB Connection Type, and then selecting Memory Card.
1. With the memory card installed in the phone, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your phone.
NOTE: On your computer, a portable device window will appear.
2. Click Open device to view files using Windows Explorer, and then click OK.

3. Double-click the desired folder on your memory card.
4. Drag and drop files from you computer to the folder on your memory card.
5. When you are finished moving files, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen, and then click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
6. Remove the USB cable from your phone.

From the phone to the card

To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Select one of the following options: Sounds, Pictures, or Videos.
4. Scroll to the file that you want to move.
5. Select Options, then Manage, then Move, and then Memory Card.

Setting the default memory location

To set the default memory location, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Shortcuts.
2. Scroll to and select Take Picture to launch the camera application.
3. Select Options, and then Switch Storage Device.
4. Select Phone or Memory Card.
5. Select Close.
