
GPS (BlackBerry 8820™)
What is GPS?
Global Positioning System (GPS) technology uses satellite communication to determine your current geographic location. When GPS is active, the built-in BlackBerry® Maps application displays your current location on an interactive map that moves when you do.

Enabling GPS
To enable GPS, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the Home screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Maps icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Press the Menu key. |
| 4. | Scroll to Start GPS Navigation or Stop GPS Navigation and press the trackball. |

Getting directions
To get directions, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to the Maps icon and press the trackball. |
| 3. | Press the Menu key. |
| 4. | Scroll to Get Directions and press the trackball. |
| 5. | Under Select Start Location, scroll to Enter Address and press the trackball. |
NOTE: You can also scroll to From Address Book and press the trackball if you have the address saved, then scroll to the contact and press the trackball.
| 6. | Type the address and select Search. |
| 7. | Under Select End Location, scroll to Enter Address and press the trackball. |
| 8. | Type the address and select Search. |
| 9. | The driving directions will display. |
NOTE: To see a map of the route, scroll to View On Map and press the trackball.
