Resetting the router to the default factory settings (T-Mobile @Home HiPort wireless router)
Restoring the router to the default settings will erase any changes you have made to the router. This includes any changes to the network name, also called the Service Set Identifier (SSID), the security settings, and the password for the administrative Web site.
If your router asks you for a password when you log in and you do not recall the password, and the default administrative password (admin) does not work, you may need to restore the default settings.
After you restore the default settings, you will need to update all wireless devices with the new network information if you had enabled security or if you had modified the network name. To do this for the HotSpot-enabled phone, go to Settings, Wi-Fi, and then Available Networks, and save your new network information.
Resetting the router to default factory settings
To reset the router to default factory settings, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Check that the router has power and that the status lights are on. |
| 2. | Locate the Reset button on the back of the router. |
| 3. | Insert a paper clip or a similar object to press and hold the Reset button. |
| 4. | Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the power light begins to flash, and then release the Reset button. |
When the status lights are all back on, the router is fully reset. This may take a few minutes.
NOTE: The default network name should be @Home with four hexadecimal characters, such as @HomeA3B9.
