Picture and video messaging (Sidekick® Slide™)
When sending a picture message to another phone, that phone must be able to receive the picture message. If the phone cannot receive the picture message, then it will display a text message directing the customer to log in to the My Album Web site to view the picture.

Taking and sending a picture

NOTE: Pictures are stored at Camera. If you have a memory card installed, pictures are stored at Camera > Memory Card Album or Device Album.
To take and send a picture, perform the following steps:
1. At the Jump screen, press the Right Shoulder key.
2. Frame the subject and press the Right Shoulder key again to take the picture.
3. Press the Done key to save the photo.
4. Roll to and select Send last photo at the bottom of the screen.
5. Roll to and select via MMS.
6. At To, type the contact's name or number.
NOTE: Contacts stored in the address book will appear based on what you type.
7. Roll to Subject and type the subject.
8. Roll to the message body and type your message.
9. Roll to and select Send.

Sending a saved picture

To send a saved picture, perform the following steps:
1. At the Jump screen, roll to and select Phone Messaging.
2. Select Picture Messaging.
3. Press the Menu key and select New Message.
4. At To, type the contact's name or number.
NOTE: Contacts stored in the address book will appear based on what you type.
5. Roll to Subject and type the subject.
6. Roll to the message body and type your message.
7. Roll to and select the Add Image icon.
8. Roll to and select the desired image.
9. If you have a memory card installed, select Memory Card Album or Device Album.
10. Press the Menu key and select Use Checked.
11. Roll down and select Send.

Sending a picture message with a voice recording

To send a picture message with a voice recording, perform the following steps:
1. At the Jump screen, roll to and select Phone Messaging.
2. Select Picture Messaging.
3. Press the Menu key and select New Message.
4. At To, type the contact's name or number.
NOTE: Contacts stored in the address book will appear based on what you type.
5. Roll to Subject and type the subject.
6. Roll to the message body and type your message.
7. Roll to and select the Add Voice Note icon.
8. Select Start Recording and speak your message.
9. Select Stop Recording.
10. Press the Done key.
11. Roll to and select the Add Image icon.
12. Roll to and select the desired image.
13. If you have a memory card installed, select Memory Card Album or Device Album.
14. Press the Menu key and select Use Checked.
15. Roll down and select Send.

Sending a video message

The Sidekick Slide does not support sending video messages.

Reading a picture message

To read a picture message, perform the following steps:
1. At the Jump screen, roll to and select Phone Messaging.
2. Select Picture Messaging.
3. Select Inbox.
4. Roll to and select the desired message.

Deleting a picture message

To delete a picture message, perform the following steps:
1. At the Jump screen, roll to and select Phone Messaging.
2. Select Picture Messaging.
3. Select Inbox.
4. Roll to the message that you want to delete and press the Menu key.
5. Roll to and select Discard.
