Dialing a number

To dial a number, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, enter the phone number.
NOTE: To add a plus (+) sign for international country codes, press and hold the 0 key.
2. Press the green Send key to initiate the call.

Calling a contact in the phone book

To call a contact in the phone book, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Contacts.
3. Scroll to the contact and press the green Send key.

Calling voicemail

To call voicemail, at the Home screen, press and hold the 1 key.

Answering a call

To answer a call, perform one of the following:
Slide open the device.
OR
When the device is open, press the green Send key or select Answer.

Ending a call

To end a call, close the device or press the red End key.

Putting a call on hold

To put a call on hold, perform the following steps:
1. While on an active call, select Menu, and then select Hold.
2. To return to the call, select Unhold.

Muting a call

To mute a call, perform the following steps:
1. While on an active call, select Mute.
2. To return to the call, select Unmute.

Initiating call conferencing

To initiate call conferencing, perform the following steps:
1. Call a number or receive an incoming call.
2. Select Menu, and then select New Call.
3. Enter the new number and press the green Send key.
4. When the call is answered, select Menu, and then select Conference.
5. Perform steps 2-4 again to add more parties.

Forwarding calls

To forward calls, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
4. Select one of the following: Unconditional, No Reply, Busy, or Unavailable.
5. At Forward voice calls to, press the Navigation Wheel left or right to select one of the following: Custom, Off, or Voicemail.
6. Scroll to Phone number and enter the phone number.

Forwarding all calls (unconditional forwarding)

To forward all calls, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
4. Select Unconditional.
5. At Forward voice calls to, press the Navigation Wheel left or right to select one of the following: Custom, Off, or Voicemail.
6. Scroll to Phone number and enter the phone number.

Forwarding calls to voicemail

To forward calls to voicemail, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
4. Select one of the following: Unconditional, No Reply, Busy, or Unavailable.
5. At Forward voice calls to, press the Navigation Wheel left or right to select Voicemail.
6. If desired, scroll to Phone number and enter the phone number 1-805-637-7249.

Activating or deactivating call waiting

To activate or deactivate call waiting, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Call Waiting.
4. Press the Center Select key to place or remove a check in the check box next to Provide call waiting notifications.
5. Select Done.

Using call waiting

To use call waiting, perform the following steps:
1. When you are on a call and another call comes in, an alert screen appears.
2. Select Answer or press the green Send key.
NOTE: This automatically places your first call on hold.
3. Select Swap to switch between calls.

Restricting outgoing caller ID

To restrict outgoing caller ID, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Caller ID.
4. At Provide my caller ID to, press the Navigation Wheel left or right to scroll to No One or Only my contacts.
5. Select Done.

Enabling outgoing caller ID

To enable outgoing caller ID, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Settings.
2. Select Phone.
3. Scroll to and select Caller ID.
4. At Provide my caller ID to, press the Navigation Wheel left or right to scroll to Everyone.
5. Select Done.

Setting caller picture/ringer ID

You can assign ringer and picture IDs to contacts stored in the phone book on the device. You cannot assign ringer and picture IDs to contacts stored on the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card.
To set caller picture/ringer ID, perform the following steps:
1. At the Home screen, select Start, and then select Contacts.
2. Scroll to and select a contact.
3. Select Menu, and then select Edit.
4. Scroll to Picture, and select Change Picture.
5. Scroll to and select a picture or select Camera and take a photo.
6. Select Done.
