Clone the MAC address (T-Mobile wireless router by D-Link)
Many Internet Service Providers (ISP) only allow one MAC address to be registered, either for a PC, for a router, or for the modem. To bypass this restriction, you can clone the MAC address. This process copies the MAC address from the computer to the wireless router. The MAC address on the router then matches the MAC address that is stored by your ISP.
NOTE: Every ISP is different, which means there are no set criteria for when to clone the MAC address. If your Internet connectivity is not working, power cycle your network. If this does not solve the problem, clone the MAC address. It is best to clone the MAC address from the computer that has been able to browse the Internet the most recently.
To clone the MAC address, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to the router’s administrative Web site.
2. On the top row of tabs, click the Home tab.
3. On the left side of the screen, click the WAN tab.
NOTE: The MAC Address is midway down the screen. It is composed of six boxes followed by (optional).
