Ringtones and melodies (Motorola V3t)
Ring styles are how your phone alerts you of incoming messages. The following ring styles are available: Loud, Soft, Vibrate, Vibe & Ring, Vibe then Ring, or Silent.
Changing the ring style with the flip closed
To change the ringtone with the flip closed, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Press the Volume key up or down. |
| 2. | To cycle through the ring styles, press the Smart key located below the Volume key. You will have the following options: Loud, Soft, Vibrate, Vibe & Ring, Vibe then Ring, or Silent. |
| 3. | Press the Volume key again to select. |
Changing the ring style with the flip open
To change the ring style with the flip open, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Press the Right Navigation  key. |
NOTE: This option may not work if you have modified the default shortcuts assigned to the keys or if you have myFaves enabled.
| 2. | At Style, select Change. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Loud, Soft, Vibrate, Vibe & Ring, Vibe then Ring, or Silent. |
Changing the ring style using the menu
To change the ring style using the menu, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu  key. |
| 4. | At Style, select Change. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select: Loud, Soft, Vibrate, Vibe & Ring, Vibe then Ring, or Silent. |
Adjusting the ring volume
To adjust the ring volume, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Settings. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Ring Styles. |
| 4. | Scroll to Detail and select Change. |
| 6. | To adjust the volume, press the Up and Down Navigation keys. |
NOTE: The ring volume can be changed when the flip is open by using the Up and Down Volume keys on the side of the phone.
Changing the ringtone
To change the ringtone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Settings. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Ring Styles. |
| 4. | Scroll to Detail, and then select Change. |
| 5. | Scroll to Calls, and then select Change. |
| 6. | Scroll to the type of ringtone you want, and then select Select. |
NOTE: Pausing as you scroll will play each tone briefly.
Muting a ringtone
To mute a ringtone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | With the flip closed, press the Volume key up or down. |
| 2. | Press the Smart key located below the Volume key. |
| 3. | Scroll to Silent or Vibrate. |
| 4. | Press the Volume key again to select. |
Deleting a ringtone
To delete a ringtone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Menu key. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Fun & Apps. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Sounds. |
| 4. | Scroll to the tone and press the Menu key. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select Delete. |
