Accessing the phone book

To access the phone book, at the main screen, press the Down Navigation key.

Adding a contact to the phone book

To add a contact to the phone book, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, type a phone number.
2. Select Store.
3. Scroll to and select Mobile Phone Contact, Home Phone Contact, or Work Phone Contact.
4. At Name, type the contact name and select Ok.
5. Select Done.

Adding a contact to the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card

To add a contact to the SIM card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, type a phone number.
2. Select Store.
3. Scroll to and select SIM Contact.
4. At Name, type the contact name and select Ok.
5. Select Done.

Copying a contact – phone to SIM card

To copy a contact from the phone to the SIM card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, press the Down Navigation key to access the Phone Book.
2. Scroll to the contact and press the Menu key.
3. Scroll to and select Copy….
4. Select To SIM.

Copying a contact – SIM card to phone

To copy a contact from the SIM card to the phone, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, press the Down Navigation key to access the Phone Book.
2. Scroll to the contact and press the Menu key.
3. Scroll to and select Copy….
4. Select To Phone.

Assigning speed dial to a contact

To assign speed dial to a contact, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, press the Down Navigation key to access the Phone Book.
2. Select Edit.
3. Scroll to Speed No and select Change.
4. Type the speed dial number and select Ok.
5. Select Done.

Assigning a ringer or picture ID to a contact

NOTE: You can assign a ringer and picture IDs to contacts stored in the phone book on the phone. You cannot assign a ringer and picture IDs to contacts stored on the SIM card.
To assign a ringer or picture ID to a contact in the phone book, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, press the Down Navigation key to access the Phone Book.
2. Scroll to the contact and press the Menu key.
3. Scroll to and select Edit.
4. Scroll to either Ringer ID or Picture and select Change.
5. Scroll to and select the ringer or picture to assign to the contact.
6. Select Done.
6. Select Exit.

Assigning a ringtone

NOTE: Although the Caller Groups feature is not supported for this phone, assigning a ringtone to a specific call is available.
To assign a ringtone, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Phonebook.
3. Press the Menu key.
4. Scroll to and select Edit.
5. Scroll to Ringer ID and select Change.
6. Scroll to and select a desired tone.
7. The tone will now ring for this specific caller.
NOTE: You must save the contact to the phone book to assign a ringer ID to the contact.

Disabling fixed dialing

NOTE: T-Mobile does not support fixed dialing and enabling FDN Mode will not activate the functionality on this device. If the customer has mistakenly enabled fixed dialing, return FDN Mode to Off.
To disable fixed dialing, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Security.
4. Scroll to Fixed Dial and select Change.
5. Type the SIM PIN2 number and select Ok.
NOTE: Default SIM PIN2 code is 5678.
6. Scroll to and select Off.
