Taking pictures

To take pictures, perform the following steps:
1. Press and hold the Camera key on the right side of the phone.
2. Frame your subject.
3. Press the Camera key or the OK key to take the photo.
NOTE: Photos are stored automatically to Menu > Applications > File manager > Images > My photos.
4. Select Yes to send the photo to My Album.
NOTE: First time users of My Album will receive a text message. To view pictures, go to My Album. On the home page, click Register here. Follow the instructions to register for My Album.
NOTE: To take another photo, select Options and then Take another.

Accessing pictures

To access pictures, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Images.
5. Scroll to and select My photos.

Deleting pictures

To delete pictures, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Images.
5. Scroll to and select My photos.
6. Scroll to the image you want to delete and select Options.
7. Scroll to and select Delete, and then Selected.
8. Select Yes to confirm.

Taking and sending a picture

To take and send a picture, perform the following steps:
1. Press and hold the Camera key on the right side of the phone.
NOTE: Pressing the Camera key will launch camera or video mode depending on which you used last. If you last recorded a video, the video recorder will launch. If you last took a photo, the camera will launch. To switch between camera and video mode, press the 1 key.
2. Frame the subject and press the OK key.
NOTE: Pictures save by default to Menu >Applications > File manager > Images > My photos.
3. Select one of the following send options to continue:
Send to My Album ›
Send to another destination ›

Send to My Album

To send to My Album, select Yes.
NOTE: First time users of My Album will receive a text message. To view pictures, go to My Album. On the home page, click Register here. Follow the instructions to register for My Album.

Send to another destination

To send to another destination, perform the following steps:
1. Select Options.
2. Scroll to and select Send to.
3. Select one of the following:
  • Recent log: To send to a recent incoming or outgoing number.
  • Phonebook: To send to a contact in the phone book.
  • Phone number: To type and send to a new number.
  • Email address: To type and send to an e-mail address.
  • My Album: To send to My Album.
4. Select or type the phone number or e-mail address.
5. Select Options, and then Send.

Sending a saved picture

To send a saved picture, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Images.
5. Scroll to and select My photos.
6. Scroll to the photo that you want to send.
7. Select Options, select Send via, and then select Picture message.
8. At Subject, select Options and then Add.
9. Type your subject.
10. Select Options and then Save.
11. Scroll to Message. Select Options and then Add.
12. Type your message.
13. Select Options and then Save.
14. Select Send.
15. Select one of the following:
  • Recent log: To send to a recent incoming or outgoing number.
  • Phonebook: To send to a contact in the phone book.
  • Phone number: To type and send to a new number.
  • Email address: To type and send to an e-mail address.
  • My Album: To send to My Album.
16. Select or type the phone number or e-mail address.
17. Select Options and then Send.

Recording video

To record video, perform the following steps:
1. Press and hold the Camera key on the right side of the phone.
NOTE: To switch between camera and video mode, press the 1 key.
2. Press the OK key to begin recording.
3. Press the OK key to end recording.
4. Select Options, select Send via, and then select Picture message.
5. At Subject, select Options and then Add.
6. Type your subject.
7. Select Options and then Save.
8. Scroll to Message. Select Options and then Add.
9. Type your message.
10. Select Options and then Save.
11. Select Send.
12. Select one of the following:
  • Recent log: To send to a recent incoming or outgoing number.
  • Phonebook: To send to a contact in the phone book.
  • Phone number: To type and send to a new number.
  • Email address: To type and send to an e-mail address.
  • My Album: To send to My Album.
13. Select or type the phone number or e-mail address.
14. Select Options and then Send.
NOTE: Videos save by default to Menu > Applications > File manager > Videos > My videos.

To access a video, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Videos.
5. Scroll to and select My videos.
6. Scroll to the desired video, select Options, and then select Play.

Deleting video

To delete a video, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Videos.
5. Scroll to and select My videos.
6. Scroll to the desired video, select Options, and then select Delete.
7. Select Selected.
8. Select Yes.

TIPS

While in video mode:
  • Press the Up and Down Navigation keys to adjust the image brightness.
  • Press the Up Volume key to flip the image vertically.
  • Press the Down Volume key to show the mirror image.
  • Press the Left Soft key for various recording and setting options. Select Camcorder short cuts to view a diagram of the various keys that serve as short cuts to different settings.
  • Press the Left and Right Navigation keys to zoom in and out.

Viewing memory (pictures, videos)

To view memory, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications.
3. Scroll to and select File manager.
4. Scroll to and select Memory status.
5. Scroll left or right to view Memory status (count) and Memory status (size).

Settings and notes

You must originate a picture message to set up your Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card on the network for picture messaging. You will not be able to receive a picture message until you have sent one.
When sending a picture message to another phone, that phone must be able to receive the picture message. If the phone cannot receive the picture message, then it will display a text message directing the user to log in to the My Album Web site to view the picture.

Reading a picture message

NOTE: When receiving a new multimedia message service (MMS) message, you will see the MMS icon on your external and internal displays.
To read a picture message, open the flip and select View.

Deleting a picture message

To delete a picture message, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to the message you want to delete.
4. Select Options, select Delete, and then select Selected.
5. Select Yes to confirm.

Saving a picture, video, or audio file included in a message

To save a picture, video, or audio file that is included in a message, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to the message, select Options, and then selectOpen.
4. Select Options.
5. Scroll to and select Save media.
6. Select Options and then Save.
7. Type a new name for the file, if desired, and then select Save.
