Using BlackBerry® Internet E-mail (BIE) (Samsung t719)
NOTE: To send and receive e-mail messages from your personal e-mail account (such as your Yahoo!® account) on your phone, you must first set up your phone for BlackBerry® Internet E-mail. Once you have set up your phone, you can then add the e-mail account.

Setting up your phone for BlackBerry® Internet E-mail

To set up your phone for BlackBerry® Internet E-mail, perform the following steps:
1. Verify that your phone is connected to the wireless network and that you are in an area of wireless coverage.
2. At the main screen, select Menu.
3. Select Messages.
4. Select Compose, and then select Setup Email.

5. Select BlackBerry Internet Email.

NOTE: The phone displays the BlackBerry initializes message followed by the BlackBerry connected message. When successfully connected, you will see the icon on top of the phone screen.
6. To return to the main screen, press the red End key.

Adding an e-mail account

NOTE: Messages from all accounts will be delivered to the Messages folder on your phone.
To add an e-mail account, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications; then select Setup BlackBerry Internet email account.

3. Under Time zone, scroll to and select your time zone.

4. Carefully read the Terms and Conditions.
5. Scroll to and select Yes.

6. Type the E-mail address and Password.

7. At Confirm Password, type your password again, and then select Next.

NOTE: Depending on the e-mail account that you add, you may be prompted to select an account type. Depending on the account type, you may be prompted for the following information:
  • E-mail Server: Type the e-mail server address for your Internet Service Provider (ISP) (example, mail.ispname.com). Contact your ISP if you do not know the e-mail server address.
  • User Name: The username you use to log in your e-mail account.
  • Outlook Web Access URL: Type the Web address for your Microsoft® Outlook account.
  • Account Name: Type the mailbox name for your Microsoft® Outlook account.
  • Use SSL: Enable the Secure Sockets Layer encryption for retrieving messages from this account, if your ISP supports it.
NOTE: If you add a Microsoft® Outlook or IBM® Lotus® Notes® e-mail account, you may be prompted to install the BlackBerry Mail Connector application on your computer. Follow instructions on the screen to install the Mail Connector from a computer connected to your work network.
8. Select Next. If the address was successfully added to your BlackBerry® Internet E-mail account, you will receive a confirmation message.
9. Select OK.

Creating a new BlackBerry® Internet E-mail address (xxxx@tmo.blackberry.net)

NOTE: You can create a new BlackBerry® e-mail address that is specific to your phone.
To create a new BlackBerry® Internet E-mail address, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Applications; then select Setup BlackBerry Internet email account.

3. Scroll to and select Create a BlackBerry e-mail address.

4. In the Username field, type the name that you want before the at (@) symbol in the xxxxx@tmo.blackberry.net e-mail address.
NOTE: If the username entered is available, you will receive a confirmation message.
5. Select OK.
NOTE: If the username you wish to use is unavailable, you will be prompted to type a different username.
6. Select Next. If the BlackBerry e-mail address was successfully created, you will receive a confirmation message.
7. Select OK.
