Using the camera


Taking pictures

To take pictures, perform the following steps:
1. Press the Camera key on the right side of the phone.
2. Frame the subject and press the OK key.
3. Press the red End key to exit, select Options for further choices, or select Yes to save the picture to My Album.

Accessing pictures

To access pictures, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My photos.
5. Scroll to and select the image.

Deleting pictures

To delete pictures, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My photos.
5. Scroll to the image and select Options.
6. Scroll to and select Delete.
7. If you select Selected, go to Step 8. If you select Multiple, go to Step 9.
8. Select Yes.
9. Select All, or scroll to and select which photos you want to delete. Press the OK key to place or remove checks in the checkboxes.
10. Select Delete.
NOTE: If you want to delete all photos, even those that have been protected, associated with wallpaper, or shared, then press the OK key to select the corresponding checkboxes. If you want to keep certain photos, remove the checks in the appropriate checkboxes.
11. Select Delete.

TIPS
  • At the main screen, press the Camera key located on the right side of the phone or press the Up Navigation key to access the camera/camcorder function directly. The function you used previously remains the default setting until the phone is powered off.
  • While in camera mode, press the Left Soft key for various camera settings and photos editing options. Select Camera shortcuts to view a diagram of the various keys that serve as shortcuts to different settings.
  • Press the Left Navigation key and the Right Navigation key to zoom in and out.
  • Press the Up Navigation Graphic8 key and the Down Navigation Graphic9 key to adjust the image brightness.
  • Press the Up Volume key to flip the image vertically.
  • Press the Down Volume key to show the mirror image.

Taking a video

NOTE: For more information on how to send a video message, go to MMS/Picture and video messaging.

Recording a video

NOTE: Videos are stored at Menu > Fun & Apps > Camera > My videos by default.
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select Record video.
5. Press the OK key to start recording.
6. Press the OK key to stop recording.

Accessing a video

To access a video, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My videos.
5. Scroll to and select a video by pressing the OK key.

Deleting a video

To delete a video, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My videos.
5. Scroll to the video and select Options.
6. Scroll to and select Delete.
7. If you select Selected, go to Step 8. If you select Multiple, go to Step 9.
8. Select Yes.
9. Select All, or scroll to and select which videos you want to delete. Press the OK key to place or remove checks in the checkboxes.
10. Select Delete.
NOTE: If you want to delete all videos, even those that have been protected or shared, select With protected items. If you want to keep protected videos, scroll to and press the OK key to remove the check in the checkbox.
11. Select Delete.

MMS/Picture and video messaging

You must originate a picture message to set up your Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card on the network for picture messaging. You will not be able to receive a picture message until you have sent one.
When sending a picture message to another phone, that phone must be able to receive the picture message. If the phone cannot receive the picture message, then it will display a text message directing the user to log in to the My Album site to view the picture.

Taking and sending a picture message

To take and send a picture message, perform the following steps:

1. Press the Camera key located on the right side of the phone.
2. Frame the subject and press the OK key.
To send to My Album:
3. Select Yes.
NOTE: First time users of My Album will receive a text message. To view pictures, go to www.t-mobilepictures.com. Click Register here on the home page and follow instructions to register for My Album.
To send to another destination:
3. Select Options.
4. Scroll to and select Send to.
5. Perform one of the following actions:
  • Select Recent recipients, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select Phonebook, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select New recipient, and then select Phone number or Email address. Type the number or e-mail address, and select Send.
  • Select My Album, and then select Send.

Sending a saved picture

To send a saved picture, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My photos.
5. Scroll to the photo that you want to send.
6. Select Options.
7. Scroll to and select Send via.
8. Select Picture Message.
9. Press the OK key to select Subject.
10. Type a subject for your message and press the OK key.
11. Scroll to Text and press the OK key to select.
12. Type your message and press the OK key.
13. Select Send.
14. Perform one of the following actions:
  • Select Recent recipients, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select Phonebook, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select New recipient, and then select Phone number or Email address. Type the number or e-mail address, and then select Send.
  • Select My Album, and then select Send.

Taking and sending a video message

4. Frame the subject and press the OK key to begin recording.
5. Press the OK key to stop recording.
6. Press the Left Soft key.
7. Scroll to and select Edit message.
8. Press the OK key to select Subject.
9. Type a subject and press the OK key.
10. Scroll to Text and press the OK key.
11. Type your message and press the OK key.
NOTE: You can also add extra pages and attach other information such as your namecard, schedule, anniversary, miscellaneous tasks, or a sound.
12. Select Send.
13. Perform one of the following actions:
  • Select Recent recipients, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select Phonebook, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select New recipient, and then select Phone number or Email address. Type the number or e-mail address, and then select Send.
  • Select My Album, and then select Send.

Sending a saved video

To send a saved video, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Scroll to and select Fun & Apps.
3. Scroll to and select Camera.
4. Scroll to and select My videos.
5. Scroll to the video and select Options, Send via, and then Picture Message.
6. Press the OK key to select Subject.
7. Type a subject and press the OK key.
8. Scroll to Text and press the OK key.
9. Type your message and press the OK key.
NOTE: You can also add extra pages and attach other information such as your name card, schedule, anniversary, miscellaneous, and tasks and a sound.
10. Select Send.
11. Select one of the following:
  • Select Recent recipients, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select Phonebook, select a contact, and then select Send.
  • Select New recipient, and then select Phone number or Email address. Type the number or e-mail address, and then select Send.
  • Select My Album, and then Send.

Reading a picture message

When receiving a new picture message or a video message, you will see the new multimedia message icon appear on both your external and internal displays. To view the message, open the flip and select View.
To read a message via the menu, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to and select Inbox.
4. Scroll to and select the message.

Deleting a picture message

To delete a picture message, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Scroll to and select Inbox.
4. Scroll to the message you want to delete.
5. Select Options.
6. Scroll to and select Delete.
7. Scroll to and select Selected or Multiple.
8. If you chose Multiple, press the OK key to place a checkmark in the checkboxes of the picture messages you want to delete, and then select Delete.
9. Select Yes.
