My Downloads
You can now access the My Downloads feature on your phone within the My Account tab which gives you the power to re-download available content you have previously purchased for free! You no longer have to call in to get your previously downloaded content.
NOTE: If your phone is a Sidekick® or G1™, you will not have access to My Account and will not have access to My Downloads.

How My Downloads works
- Your previously downloaded content may be available for re-download for the following:
- Ringtones/Wallpapers: January 1st, 2007
- Games/Applications: May 16th, 2008
- Ringtones, wallpapers, and Java Games & Apps will be in two separate links within the My Downloads menu.
NOTE: Not all content you have purchased is available for re-download.
When will I use this feature?
My Downloads is useful (but not limited to) for the following scenarios:
- You accidentally deleted a downloaded item on your phone (ringtone, wallpaper, game, etc.)
- It is time for a new phone and you do a Handset Upgrade
- You need to do a Handset Exchange on your phone
- You downloaded content and never received it
- A master reset had to be done on your phone


NOTE: My Downloads content may be available for you to re-download for free to your phone with the following restrictions:
- A title (wallpaper, ringtone, game, app) can be downloaded a maximum of 1 time per 24-hour period
- Promotional content that was originally downloaded for FREE ($0.00) can only be repurchased through My Downloads
- If you are refunded for content, it can no longer can be downloaded for free
How can I access My Downloads?
To access My Downloads, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Access the Web browser on your phone. |
| 2. | From the My Account tab, select Mobile Life. |
| 3. | Select My Downloads. |

Why wouldn’t my content show up in My Downloads?
Your content may not show up in My Downloads for the following reasons:
- The phone you are trying to re-download from does not support the content.
- The content is no longer available for download (T-Mobile may no longer own the rights to it or may not be available in the T-Mobile Catalog).
- You have been refunded for the content. Content will not be available to re-download for free if you have been refunded for it.
My Downloads FAQs
If I upgrade to a new handset, can I re-download my content to my device?
You may be able to download the content to your new phone if the content is supported on your new phone. If it is not supported, an error will appear explaining that the content is not formatted for your new phone.
Why would I need My Downloads?
If you ever do a Handset Exchange or Handset Upgrade, you may want to reacquire content you previously downloaded. Also, some master reset functions remove downloaded content such as ringtones, wallpapers and games.
I thought I just downloaded a ringtone but it is not in My Downloads?
Your content appears in My Downloads only after successful billing and successful content download.
I just downloaded a ringtone/wallpaper but it is not in My Downloads?
It can take up to one hour for the content to appear in your My Downloads after you have downloaded content to your phone.
