All rate plan changes happen in real time.

What will happen to my balance if I change to another T-Mobile Prepaid rate plan?

There are no penalties for moving back and forth between the three Prepaid rate plans. If you want to change to a different T-Mobile Prepaid rate plan, your dollar balance and balance expiration will transfer in full between the different rate plans.
NOTE: Multiple rate plan changes in the same day could lead to multiple charges.

Yes, the refill dollars that are spent on Pay By The Day and Sidekick Prepaid plans will count towards the Gold Rewards status, once you change to a Pay As You Go rate plan.

What is the per minute rate if I change to the Pay By The Day rate plan or the Sidekick Prepaid rate plan?

Pay By The Day and Sidekick Prepaid plans per minute costs do not change, regardless of any rate plan switches. The Pay By The Day rate is $0.10 per minute, and the Sidekick Prepaid rate is $0.15 per minute.

What are the rates for the Pay As You Go rate plan?

If you are a Pay As You Go customer, your minute rates will vary based on your refill history and Gold Rewards status. If you are new to the Pay As You Go rate plan, you will start out with a $0.33 per minute rate.

If I change from a Pay As You Go rate plan, then decide to change back to Pay As You Go, will my per minute rate start over?

If you have already been on a Pay As You Go rate plan, you will keep the same per minute rate that you had previous to when you changed away from the Pay As You Go rate plan.
