T-Mobile Address Book (TAB) (Samsung Katalyst)
T-Mobile Address Book is an included FREE service that lets you store contact information on your phone and on the my.t-mobile.com Web site. You can manage contacts on your phone as well as on our Web site, and changes are synchronized between the phone and the site. With TAB, you do not have to worry about losing contact information if you lose your phone.

Activating TAB
NOTE: Before synchronizing contact information between the phone and the Web site, you must first activate the address book.
NOTE: If you take out your Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card and replace it with a new one, TAB will ask if this will be your permanent phone. This allows you to choose if you want to replace your address book entries with the contacts on the new SIM card.
To activate TAB, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, press the Down Navigation key. |
NOTE: Your phone displays the following message, Would you like to store a copy of your contacts on My.T-Mobile.com so you can view and manage your contacts online?
| 2. | To synchronize your phone with the server and activate TAB, press the OK key to select Yes. |
| 3. | When your phone displays a synchronization complete message, select OK. |
NOTE: From this point on, any changes you make to your phone book contacts will automatically synchronize with the server.
Adding contacts using the phone
To add contacts using the phone, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, enter the phone number of the contact. |
| 2. | Select Options, then Save, and then New contact. |
| 3. | Select one of the following options: Mobile, Home, Office, Fax, or Other. |
| 4. | Enter the contact’s first and last name and select Save. |
NOTE: The contact you just added to your phone will also be added to TAB on the Web site. To view contacts on the Web site, go to the site and log in using your mobile number and password. Click Communications Tools, and then under RESOURCES, click Manage Address Book. You will see the contact you just added.

Copying contacts manually
To copy contacts manually, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, select Menu. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Settings. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Synchronization. |
| 4. | Select Sync Now. |
| 5. | To view synchronization details, select Result. |
Viewing the synchronization settings
To view the synchronization settings, perform the following steps:
| 1. | At the main screen, select Menu. |
| 2. | Scroll to and select Settings. |
| 3. | Scroll to and select Synchronization. |
| 4. | Select one of the following options: |
- Sync now to synchronize the phone and the TAB immediately.
- Data to sync to choose which data to synchronize. You can currently synchronize Phonebook. In the future you, you will be able to synchronize the Calendar and Task.
- View log to view the details of your last synchronization session.
