Activating BlackBerry® Service
NOTE: If you purchased your handheld at a T-Mobile retail location or online via T-Mobile.com, your service is already activated.
If your service is not activated, contact Customer Care with the following information:
  • Name, home address, home phone, and preferred billing address
  • Social Security number (SSN), current driver’s license number, and date of birth (this information is for a credit check)
  • Model number of your handheld (BlackBerry 7290)
  • SIM serial number (located on the back of the SIM card)
  • IMEI number (located on the label under the battery)
  • Agent code (found on your service agreement)
  • Choice of T-Mobile rate plan and services
NOTE: It takes approximately 20 minutes to activate voice service. For data services, you may need to wait up to 24 hours for the service to be activated. By activating service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of the Service Agreement and applicable Service Agreements from Research In Motion Limited.
