General
A: To access My E-mail from your t-zones® phone, from the phone, open a browser, select E-mail & IM, and then select My E-mail.
A: My E-mail supports a wide range of e-mail systems, including:
- Corporate e-mail systems such as Microsoft® Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003, and IBM® Lotus Notes® 5.0x, 6.0x, 6.5x (must be subscribed to an eligible plan to access corporate e-mail).
- POP3/IMAP4 e-mail systems (for example EarthLink™) and most ISPs.
NOTE: Yahoo!® users must have POP3 or IMAP access enabled.
A: All the information you see, including e-mail (plus address book and calendar for corporate mailboxes), is up-to-date. To make sure you are viewing the most recent messages, from the Inbox, select Menu, and then select Inbox.
A: My E-mail provides direct access to your mailboxes. Everything you do from your phone is immediately reflected on your desktop and vice versa. No synchronization is required.
A: Any e-mail sent or replied to will appear to come from the source mailbox (your desktop).
A: You may add up to eight corporate or personal mailboxes in any combination (must be subscribed to an eligible plan to access corporate e-mail).

Setup
A: From the Web, log in to your My E-mail account. From the left-hand navigation, select Settings, select Mailboxes, and then from the top navigation bar, select Add Mailbox. You will be prompted for the e-mail address and password of the mailbox you would like to access. If required, you may be prompted for more information.
From your t-zones phone, open a browser, select E-mail & IM, and then select My E-mail. After logging in, the navigation required to configure a mailbox differs depending on how many mailboxes you have already configured:
- No mailboxes - you will automatically be prompted to add a mailbox
- One mailbox - navigate to the Mailboxes screen and select Add another mailbox
- Two or more mailboxes - select Add another mailbox

You will not be able to add or delete specific info alert rules from your phone. You will need to make these changes from the Web.
A: Yes. From the Web, log in to your account. From the left-hand menu, select Alerts, and then click to clear the Alerts Enabled checkbox.

When you disable info alerts, it does not delete the info alert rules you may have set up from the Web. Selecting Enable will turn info alerts back on.
A: From the Web, log in to your account. From the left-hand menu, select Alerts. You will see a list of info alerts on the Alerts screen. To delete an info alert condition, click the trashcan icon for the specific info alert.
A: An info alert address is an e-mail address to which info alerts are sent. The info alert address is configured automatically for you when you first log into your account. The e-mail notifications are automatically sent to phonenumber@tmomail.net.
A: Go to the inbox of your mailbox to read your messages.

- Turn on info alerts, from either the Web or your phone.
- Have one or more info alerts configured (configurable from the Web only).

Corporate e-mail
A: Typically, to access your corporate e-mail, you will only need your username and password (you must be subscribed to an eligible plan to access corporate e-mail). How you access your e-mail is based on how your IT group has configured your corporate servers. Corporate e-mail can be accessed in one of three ways:
- Via Outlook Web Access or iNotes (must be Internet enabled) - no software is required
- Via POP3 or IMAP (must be Internet enabled*) - no software is required
- Via the Secure Mail Connector
*If you can access your mail via the Internet today (e.g., from a Web page outside of your Intranet), it is Internet enabled. Your corporate IT group determines whether to enable this type of access. Please see the help questions relating to Microsoft® Exchange and IBM® Lotus Notes®/Domino® for more details.
A: The Secure Mail Connector software allows you to access your corporate e-mail securely from your mobile device. Download and install this software to a computer that is always connected to your corporate network (e.g., do not download it to a laptop computer that you take with you when you travel). This software requires Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher.
A: Yes. For corporate (Microsoft® Exchange or IBM® Lotus Notes®/Domino®) and IMAP mailbox types, the message will be copied to the Deleted Items folder.

Microsoft® Exchange
A: Outlook Web Access (OWA) is a feature supported natively by Microsoft® Exchange systems and is enabled by default within the intranet. OWA provides secure Web-based access to a company's Exchange server. Employees can access their corporate e-mail by using an Internet connection and an Internet browser.
If your system is not Internet enabled, you may need to contact your system administrator.

To access your calendar or address book, from your phone, open a browser, select E-mail & IM, and then select My E-mail. Select the mailbox you would like to access, and then select Calendar, Corporate Contacts, or Contacts. If you are accessing a mailbox that does not support an address book and/or a calendar, you will not see these options.
A: For e-mail systems that include an address book and calendar, such as Microsoft® Exchange or IBM® Lotus Notes®/Domino®, My E-mail provides access to your e-mail, address book and calendar. You can access your calendar from your t-zones phone by logging in to your My E-mail account.
A: You can view your entire calendar and accept or decline meetings.

A: Yes. For corporate (Microsoft® Exchange or IBM® Lotus Notes®/Domino®) mailboxes, you can access both your Corporate and Personal contact information.
A: My E-mail provides direct, real-time access to information. All actions are instantly reflected on your mailbox—so additions, changes, or deletions are instantly reflected in both the mailbox and on your mobile device. As a result, there is never any need for synchronization.
Security
A: My E-mail enables end-to-end security from your wireless device to Outlook Web Access/iNotes over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. As a result, your entire communication is secure regardless of which wireless device you use to access your e-mail.
A: No. Unlike desktop-based solutions that forward e-mail to an external mailbox, My E-mail provides direct, real-time access to mailboxes. Since the mailboxes are accessed directly, no data is stored or forwarded outside the corporate firewall, making the solution secure and acceptable to IS department requirements.
A: Yes. If the user configures each mailbox to remember the mailbox password. In order to access mailboxes, My E-mail must store mobile numbers and passwords. All data is stored securely and encrypted. In case you do not want us to store your mailbox password, from the Edit option of your mailbox, click to clear the Remember check box.
A: My E-mail enables end-to-end security from the customer's wireless device to Outlook Web Access/iNotes over an SSL connection. As a result, your entire communication is secure regardless of which wireless device you use to access your e-mail.
