MP3 Media Player (Samsung p735)
You can enjoy music using your phone as an MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (MP3) player. You can download music files from the Web or from your computer to the multimedia card.
NOTE: The phone memory can store up to 1024 kilobytes (KBs) of music files. The multimedia card that is shipped with the phone can store 32 KBs of music files.

Formatting the multimedia card
NOTE: You must format the multimedia card before you can download files to it.
To format the multimedia card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Insert the multimedia card into the phone. |
| 2. | With the phone flip open, press the Up Navigation key to open the MP3 player. |
| 3. | Select Options. |
| 4. | Scroll to and select Select memory location. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select MMC. The screen displays Reading MMC while formatting the card. |
NOTE: The following folders are added to the multimedia card during the format: Samsung > Audio, Samsung > Photo, and Samsung > Video.
| 6. | Remove the card after the format. |
Downloading music from the computer to the multimedia card
To download music from the computer to the multimedia card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Attach a multimedia card reader (not included with the phone) to the computer using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable. Your computer detects new hardware, and then automatically installs the necessary drivers. You may need to restart your computer. |
| 2. | Insert the multimedia card into the reader. |
| 3. | On your computer, from the desktop, double-click My Computer. |
| 4. | From the My Computer window, double-click Removable Disk, double-click Samsung, and then double-click Audio. |
NOTE: If your multimedia card reader has multiple drives, you may see multiple Removable Disk folders on your computer. Select the drive that contains a folder named Samsung.
| 5. | Locate the desired music files on your computer, and them save them to the Audio folder on the multimedia card. |
NOTE: The file names must not be more than 32 characters long.
| 6. | Remove the multimedia card from the reader. |
Accessing music files saved on the multimedia card
To access music files saved on the multimedia card, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Insert the multimedia card into the phone. |
| 2. | With the phone flip open, press the Up Navigation key to access the MP3 player. |
| 3. | Select Options. |
| 4. | Scroll to and select Select memory location. |
| 5. | Scroll to and select MMC. |
| 6. | Select Play all. |
TIPS
- Press the Center Navigation key to play.
- Press the Down Navigation key to stop.
- Press the Right Navigation key to play the next song.
- Press the Left Navigation key to play the previous song.
- Press the Up Navigation key to edit the list.
- You can have the flip open or closed while playing.
