What is international roaming?
International roaming is the ability to make and receive calls outside of the United States. For example, if you travel to the United Kingdom and use the Vodafone UK network, you would be roaming.
What is GSM?
GSM is the worldwide standard for wireless communication with over 680 million subscribers. Approximately 71 percent of all wireless subscribers in the world use GSM. GSM is used in 179 countries with 500 providers making it the largest wireless platform in the world.
As a T-Mobile customer, you can roam in more than 100 countries using over 190 different providers worldwide. You can use your dual- or tri-band T-Mobile phone and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to make and receive calls around the world while maintaining the same phone number and other features.
What is required in order to roam internationally?
All you need is a dual- or tri-band WorldClass device that operates on the frequency of the network where you will be roaming (900/1800/1900 MHz) and the WorldClass feature activated on your account. All phones work in Canada and Mexico.
Will I have international wireless Internet access?
In order to take advantage of WorldClass international data services you need a WorldClass device with GPRS Internet capability, a t-zones®/web2goSM or T-Mobile Internet rate plan, and the WorldClass feature activated on your account.

How do I activate WorldClass service?
Depending on your account type, you may add WorldClass service online. Log in to My T-Mobile and select Plan & Services. If your account is not eligible to change services online, you may contact Customer Care.
If you are outside the US, contact Customer Care at +1-505-998-3793. We cannot guarantee we will be able to add the WorldClass feature to your account while you are outside the US. It is better to add the feature before you travel.

How much will it cost to roam internationally?
WorldClass rates are listed by country on the International pricing and coverage page. Simply select the country where you wish to travel, select a wireless service provider, and view the appropriate pricing and coverage information.

Will I be charged long distance when I make calls within a foreign country?
WorldClass customers do not pay any long-distance fees for calls made outside the US. All charges are covered in the WorldClass rates. If you are still on our old roaming rate plan then long-distance charges apply when calling outside of that country. Charges vary according to the carrier. We suggest changing your rates to WorldClass, so you will always know in advance what you will pay.
NOTE: Some carriers charge long distance for dialing certain locations within their country.

What is the plus (+) sign and how do I use it?
The plus (+) sign makes international dialing on your wireless phone easier than from your home phone. It allows you to make international calls without having to know the international access code of the country from which you are calling.
NOTE: To access the plus (+) sign, refer to the following information:
- Nokia customers - press the Star (*) key twice in rapid succession.
- Sony Ericsson customers - press and hold the 0 key until the plus (+) sign appears.
- Motorola customers - press and hold the 0 key until the plus (+) sign appears.
- Bosch customers - press and hold the Star (*) key until the plus (+) sign appears.
- Samsung customers - press and hold the 0 key until the plus (+) sign appears.
- BlackBerry 6210™ customers - press the Alt key (bottom left key) and the letter I key.
- Treo 270 customers - press the blue key, and then press the g key.
- Pocket PC customers - pull up the keyboard, press the [123] key in top left corner. Select the plus (+) sign from the resulting screen.
How do I access my voice mail while traveling internationally?

What happens when people reach my voice mail when I am roaming?
Depending on the network where you roam, you may be patched directly to a T-Mobile VoiceMail, or the caller may be required to re-type your 10-digit phone number to reach your voice mail.
Will I be billed for calling T-Mobile's Customer Care number?
T-Mobile customers roaming internationally who call Customer Care (+1 505 998 3793) will not be charged.
NOTE: Calls made to this number from any phone other than a T-Mobile device will incur international long distance charges as well as other additional charges that may apply.
