T-Mobile VoiceMail security features
T-Mobile cares about your privacy and wants you to be aware that your voice mailbox has a password security option that you can turn on or off.
Because many customers have asked for the security feature to be turned off to allow speedy access to voice mail messages, your voice mailbox is automatically set up to NOT ask you for your password.
T-Mobile recommends that you turn on your voice mail password for added security, but as always, the choice is yours.

Changing your voice mail password
To change your voice mail password, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Call your voice mailbox from your mobile phone by pressing and holding the 1 key or by dialing 123. |
| 2. | Once you arrive at your voice mailbox, press the Star (*) key to ensure you are in the main menu area. To access the password security menu, press the 5 key. To change your password, press the 1 key. |
NOTE: Please make note of your password or type a password that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.
NOTE: You may also reset your voice mail password and enable password security by selecting the Voicemail Settings link located in the My Account section of t-zonesŪ.

To turn your voice mail password security on or off, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Call your voice mailbox from your mobile phone by pressing and holding the 1 key or by dialing 123. |
| 2. | Once you arrive at your voice mailbox, press the Star (*) key to ensure you are in the main menu area. To access the password security menu, press the 5 key. To toggle your password on or off, press the 2 key. |
NOTE: If you turn on password security, you will need to type your password each time you call your voice mailbox, so please make note of your password.
NOTE: You may also reset your voice mail password and enable password security by selecting the Voicemail Settings link located in the My Account section of t-zonesŪ.
Why do I always have to type my password when blocking caller ID?
When blocking your number from being displayed on caller ID, the voice mail system will prompt you to type your password every time you access the voice mailbox from your device. If you do not want to use a password when accessing your voice mail, you must not block the caller ID.
