Samsung Easy GPRS Data Kit
The Samsung Easy GPRS Data Kit turns your Samsung mobile phone into an effective business tool. Samsung Sync, in combination with the Easy GPRS program, synchronizes your Samsung cellular phone with your Microsoft Outlook contacts and calendar. It enables you to quickly and easily move your contacts and calendar entries from Outlook to your Samsung mobile phone.

What you need

  • An IBM or IBM-compatible computer with a Pentium or higher processor
  • Windows 98/Me/2000/XP
  • A minimum of 10 MB of free memory
  • An available serial port
  • The Easy GPRS Data Kit

Installing the Easy GPRS software

To install the Easy GPRS software, perform the following steps:
1. Start Windows, if it is not already running.
2. Insert the Easy GPRS CD-ROM supplied with your Data Kit into the CD-ROM drive. If Windows automatically runs the CD-ROM, go to Step 4.
3. In Windows Explorer, right-click the Samsung CD-ROM and select AutoPlay in the pop-up menu.
4. Select the language version to be installed and click OK.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions. The Easy GPRS program files are copied to your computer's hard disk.

NOTE: For Windows 2000/XP, a message prompts you to install the Samsung GPRS modem for use with GPRS Wizard. Click OK and follow the instructions in the user manual to set up the modem driver.
6. When the installation is complete, click Finish.

Connecting the phone to the computer with the download cable

To connect the phone to the computer with the download cable, perform the following steps:
1. Make sure that both your phone and computer are switched off.
2. Plug the serial connector on the download cable into a serial port on your computer.
3. Plug the other connector into the bottom of your phone.
4. Switch on both your phone and computer.
