Release 1.1.1 Over-the-Air Update (February 2004) (Sidekick® Black & White, Color)
The latest T-Mobile Sidekick update is here! This update will deliver performance enhancements to your device. You will not see any visible changes on your Sidekick. The new software will be available starting at the end of February, and should be received by all users by end of April. Your Sidekick device will display a notification message informing you that a system update is available. We appreciate your patience with this process.

When will my Over-the-Air update come?
Over-the-Air updates are scheduled on a regular basis by your wireless carrier and are uploaded to your device when available. Over-the-Air updates are sent out in blocks to prevent overload to the wireless network. All devices that require the Over-the-Air update will receive it.
How do I install my Over-the-Air update?
To install your Over-the-Air update, perform the following step:
1. In the System Update Notice dialog box, select when you want to activate the update.

Warning: If you select Activate Now, your device will restart. Do not select this option if you are in the middle of an IM conversation, or are typing data.
Warning: Please make certain that your device is fully charged before installing an Over-the-Air update. Do not power down or reset the device during the installation process.
NOTE: When the update is activating, an activation bar appears on the screen. It takes less than four minutes to finish and restart. When the update is complete, from the Select OK to proceed confirmation dialog box, select OK.
