How do I upgrade my phone online?
T-Mobile makes it easy to upgrade your phone online using My T-Mobile. Discounted upgrade pricing is based upon both the length of time since your last upgrade and your current rate plan. The following guidelines will ensure the best discounted upgrade price (as long as there have been no late payments on the account):

Time since last upgrade:

  • 11 months if on a one-year service agreement
  • 22 months if on a two-year service agreement

Rate plan:

  • $29.99 or greater for an Even More single line plan
  • $49.99 or greater for an Even More FamilyTimeŽ Plan
NOTE: Not all accounts will have access to perform phone upgrades online.

To upgrade your phone online, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
2. From the center of the landing page, click Upgrade Phone.
3. The Shop for Phones page will appear. To compare two or more phones, click the Compare Phones button after selecting phones to compare.
4. From the Compare Phones page, review the features and prices to determine which phone to upgrade to, and then click Add To Cart.
5. From the Order Summary page, select a shipping option, review the phone and pricing details, and then select Upgrade Now.
NOTE: Additional steps are required for qualified customers taking advantage of the Equipment Installment Plan.
  1. Increase the amount of the first phone payment, as desired, and then select OK.
  2. Validate your e-mail address, or enter an alternative as needed.
  3. Read and agree to the text regarding the Terms & Conditions, then select Next.
  4. At this point, you have 15 minutes to confirm your electronic signature, or you will need to begin the process again.
  5. Click to select the Start Authorization Process button.
  6. Open a separate Web browser window and check your e-mail to retrieve your PIN.
  7. Read the Electronic Signature Terms and Conditions for EIP and Equipment Installment Plan Contract and Disclosures.
  8. Double click next to the Buyers Signature at the bottom of the page.
  9. Enter the PIN you received in your e-mail.
  10. Click Sign, and then select Finish.
  11. On the How would you like to pay? screen, enter your credit card payment information.
  12. Read and accept any applicable Terms and Conditions by selecting the check box to the left.
  13. Select Upgrade my phone.
6. If the device requires a contract extension, acknowledge and accept the terms by selecting the check box on the Extension Acceptance screen. Click Submit Order to complete the upgrade process.
