Video Player/Recorder (Nokia 3660)
With the built-in video recorder, you can record video clips and store them on your phone or a memory card to play back later. The video recorder is integrated with the messaging feature, allowing you to share easily your clips with others.

Taking and saving video clips
To take and save video clips, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Press to access the menu. |
| 2. | Scroll to Video rec. and select it using the Center Navigation key. |
| 3. | Select Options, and then select Record. |
| 4. | To start recording, select Start using the Left Soft key. The progress bar on the bottom of the screen shows you how much recording time remains. |
- To pause recording at any time, select Pause using the Left Soft key.
- To stop recording at any time, select Stop using the Right Soft key.
| 5. | The video will automatically be stored to the phone memory. To store the video on the memory card, access the settings in the Options menu. |
Sending a video message from the phone to an e-mail account
To send a video message from the phone to an e-mail account, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Once the video is stored on the phone memory or a memory card, a list of the stored videos will appear. Select the desired video to send, select Options, select Send, and then select Via multimedia using the Left Soft key. |
| 2. | The file will appear with the option to add text to the message. A link to download the Nokia Multimedia Player will also be sent with the e-mail. Type text as desired. |
| 3. | Scroll to the top of the message to access the To: field. Type the e-mail address. |
| 4. | Select Options, and then select Send using the Left Soft key to send the message. |
NOTE: To switch from number mode to alpha mode, in the To: field, press the Pencil
key, and then select Alpha Mode. To access the phone book, from the To: field, type the recipient's name, select it, and then press Ok using the Left Soft key. If more than one entry is populated for that name, a pop-up window will appear with the address to choose.

Playing a video clip received in an e-mail
You must have a video player installed to play video clips received in e-mails. Click the link in the e-mail to download the Nokia Multimedia Player.
Playing a video clip using the video recorder
To play a video clip using the video recorder, open the video recorder, select Options, and then select Play.
Playing a video clip using RealOne Player
To play a video clip using RealOne Player, perform the following steps:
| 1. | Press to access the menu. |
| 2. | Scroll to RealOne Player and select it using the Center Navigation key. |
| 3. | Use the Right and Left Arrow keys to select between the phone memory and the memory card. Scroll down and select the video you wish to play. |
| 4. | Select Options, and then select Play using the Left Soft key. The video will open and play. The following options are available during playback: |
- Pause - will pause the video
- Stop - will stop the video
- Mute - will mute the video
- Clip Details - will provide the file name, location of file, file type, size and duration
NOTE: To access the RealOne Settings, open the RealOne Player, select Options, and then select Settings using the Left Soft key.
- To change the video settings, select Options, and then select Video to open the following list of settings:
- Video Quality - Select Sharp images for better picture quality, but slower framerate, or select High framerate for faster framerate, but lower picture quality.
- Automatic scaling - Choose On to select automatic resizing of the video image.
- To change the playback setting, select Options, and then select Playback. At Repeat, select On to automatically restart the video or audio file once it has finished.

With the video recorder, you can record video clips and store them on your phone or a memory card to play back later. The video recorder is integrated with the messaging feature, allowing you to share easily your clips with others.
- You can record clips up to 95 kilobytes (KBs) in size, or approximately 10 seconds in duration. Recorded video clips are in the H.263 format, which results in a file that has the extension .3gp.
- The phone will save the video automatically to the phone memory or the memory card.
- To increase the amount of memory for images, videos, and other applications, use the 32 megabytes (MBs) multimedia memory card packaged with the phone in conjunction with the phone memory. To change to the memory card for storage, access the video recorder application, select Options, and then select Settings. Scroll to Memory in use, select Options, and then select Change. Select the memory you wish to use to store your images and videos. Press Ok using the Left Soft key to store your changes.
For best results on taking videos, refer to the following information:
- Maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from your subject
- Avoid subjects with sharp contrasts between light and dark
- Keep the camera still and at a right angle
- Use good lighting conditions
